Sclerotherapy is a treatment that uses a solution that will be injected directly into varicose/spider

veins. This stimulates blood vessel lining and in effect spider or varicose veins will fade.

Sclerotherapy needs no anaesthesia as the type of needle that they use is especially designed

for veins and comes in multiple sizes depending on the diameter of the diseased veins. All

syringes, needles and other medical supplies are sterile and are disposable.

St. Lora’s Skin Care’s Sclerotherapy treatment is done by a well-trained and experienced medical

doctor.

Be reminded that each session, even on unlimited basis, has an allowable solution for both legs.

Each Sclerotherapy session lasts for 30 to 45 minutes. The Slimming Wrap procedure takes 30

minutes.

For mild spider veins, a total of 5 to 8 sessions is recommended; for severe cases, a total of 8 to

12 sessions is advised.

For mild cases of varicose veins, patients will need to undergo minimum of 5 sessions while for

severe cases it is recommended to have at least 8 to 10 sessions. Doppler ultrasound is advised

before treatment for severe cases.

You may expect to lose up to 5 inches in 1 session of Slimming Wrap (some patients lose up to 9

inches in 1 session).

A 2-week interval in between sessions is recommended for those with mild and severe cases of

spider veins.

Pregnant women are strictly prohibited from undergoing the treatment while patients who are

diabetic, hyperthyroid or lactating women should seek clearance from their doctors. Skin test is

done before treatment for patients with history of allergy to medicines or food.

Each session of Sclerotherapy may leave temporary marks or bruises but these would only last

for 3 to 5 days and are usually minimal.

Expect some downtime after the treatment, depending on the severity of your varicose veins or

spider veins.
