Fellow Brother Knight,
Congratulations on attaining Knighthood in the Knights of Columbus. You are now a leader in our Order.
You are now eligible to achieve the highest honor in our Order, becoming a Sir Knight in the Fourth Degree. I invite you to join the Fourth Degree of the Knights of Columbus, the Patriotic Degree. It is the visible arm of the Knights.
Enclosed with this letter is an invitation to join the Fourth Degree, an application form and a brochure which describes and explains the purpose of the Fourth Degree. I ask that you seriously consider becoming a “Sir Knight” of our order.
Please talk with your follow Council members to learn more about the Fourth Degree and how to take your Patriotic Degree. The current exemplification dates are as follows:

REACH YOUR HIGHEST POTENTIAL
The Fourth Degree is a group of outstanding Knights, dedicated to promoting patriotism enlightened by their Catholic Faith.
These Knights, distinguished by exemplary deeds for God, for country, and the Order, are united by the Fourth Degree to support religious, civic, and charitable causes.
Fourth Degree members belong to local units called assemblies. Each assembly is involved in a wide range of public patriotic activities.
Each assembly maintains a Fourth Degree Color Corps and Honor Guard. Uniformed members participate in special civic and religious ceremonies.
For this reason, the Fourth Degree is often called the visible arm of the Knights of Columbus.
ELIGIBILITY
To qualify for the Fourth Degree, one must:
To be eligible as a member in the Fourth Degree, you must be a Third Degree member in good standing in the Knights of Columbus.

NoticeAll applications for membership in the Fourth Degree and banquet reservations must be made no later than May 22, 2018. Payment in full must accompany all banquet reservations.
There will be a $5.00 late charge after May 22, 2019.
Admission to any of the events requires a pre-paid reservation prior to May 22, 2019.

DRESS
The official dress for the Fourth Degree Exemplification is Dark suit (Black, Blue, Gray) or Tuxedo, White Shirt (NO FRENCH CUFFS, NO BUTTON DOWN COLLARS), Neck Tie, Black Belt, Black Shoes. Religious wear their clerical garb and members of the armed forces or full time police and firefighting officers may wear their respective dress uniforms. Members shall wear the official dress plus social baldric, PG-113 lapel pin and current jewel of office.
