Do you need more than one sheet of paper for your to do list? Are the numbers of emails you receive daily causing your computer to crash? If you answered yes to any of these questions this seminar will teach you tips and techniques that will allow you to effectively prioritize, delegate, reduce stress and eliminate clutter.

9:50am – 10:15am Networking Break10:15am – 11:15am Breakout Sessions (choose one)Breakout 1. “Managing Multiple Generations”, David Jakielo For the 1st time in our workplaces we have employees spanning FOUR generations and we must learn new skills to effective lead today’s workforce. We’ll examine how to successful communicate, motivate and lead each generation.Breakout 2. “The Technology of Revenue Cycle Management” Cindy BlaneWe will walk through each phase of the revenue cycle and discuss best practices along with technology aides that could assist with the efficiencies in the process. Our objective will be to offer a lively group discussion on processes that participants as well as speakers have experienced to allow participants alternative solutions to their existing issues with revenue cycle management. Objectives:• Participants will participate in

problem solving and best practices exchange of information

• Participants will learn best practices throughout the revenue cycle process

• Participants will learn more about how technology can complement their process

11:15am – 12:15pm Breakout Sessions (choose one)Breakout 1. “Patient Centered Communications”, James Larson We’ll explore the multitude of communication channels linking us with our patients and the dazzling array of communication technologies available to us. We’ll walk through a typical patient experience and map all the communication touch-points. Then we’ll do some ‘value stream mapping’ to see how our patient communications can be more effective. Finally, we’ll envision a better future for patient communications. Objectives:• Attendees will learn something new about patient

communication channels and technologies.• Attendees will gain the understanding of and ability to apply

work-flow mapping and ‘value stream mapping’ to patient communications.

• Attendees will be inspired to apply what they’ve learned in their own practice to improve patient communications.

Breakout 2. “Look Who’s Talking; “Working Together in a Non-Interoperable World”, Robin BoueHow to communicate in a world where interoperability is a hope for the future but not a current reality. The Dream – Electronic Health Record Systems that could communicate. Communication is always challenging wither it is in a personal relationship, professional relationship or between or among organizations or technologies. Just a few years ago we were all told by the experts that we would be inter-operable from a technical standpoint. That means that all electronic health records could and would be shared by all healthcare providers. The goal, of course, was that patients could go from provider to provide - from their primary care physician to their specialist, to a hospital, l to a physician where they would all get the same medical information and allow medical professionals to analysis the data and provide helpful and life changing recommendations. In the dream these systems would automatically sync up with the latest doctor visit, lab results, MRI or even behavioral health visit to provide the patient and professionals with the best strategy for action which in turn enhances the patients’ health and life. The reality is that today’s world includes electronic health record systems that operate primarily inside healthcare providers and their hospital networks. Although electronic records are a step in the right direction we are a long way from the vision of healthy happy lives created by an interoperable world. Objectives:• What is interoperability?• Why is there a problem?• What are the barriers to interoperability?• How can we overcome them?• What is good about the ‘creative tension’ that we are

experiencing between where we are and where we need to be?

• What is the answer?• What can you do today to get one step closer to the solution?
