LOTTIE MOON 2016 CHRISTMAS OFFERING

Our Goal: $14,000 Collected to Date: $11,512

Readers: read Scripture during morning worship. Van Drivers: drive the church van to pick up our members who are una-ble to drive. Must have a clean driving record. Nursery Workers: minister to our littlest ones during Sunday school and morning worship. Must pass a background check. Office Volunteers: answer phones and greet visitors when the secre-tary is out of the office due to illness or time off.

The church office will be closed on Thurs-

day, December 22nd through the first of

the year. We will resume regular office

hours on Tuesday, January 3, 2017.

To avoid confusion in the event of snow or ice, Smithwood will adhere to the following policy:

Weekdays: In the event of snow or ice at night or early morning, the office will be open as soon as possible, if possible. Please call the church before going there or check the website.

Wednesday PM: Normally we will follow the Knox County schools schedule. However, if the roads are clear by late afternoon, evening activities may take place as scheduled. If in doubt, call the office or check the website.

Sundays: Check our website at smithwood.org or monitor WATE Channel 6 TV. You may also call the church; a message will indicate whether we will be open.

The following meetings have been cancelled:

December 26th Deacons meeting

January 1st Church Council meeting

Our deepest sympathies for the family of Liz Roberts, who passed away on December 13th, and the family of Bobbie Mason, who died on December 16th.

Our sympathy also for Carolyn Hammer, whose mother passed away on December 18th, and for Sheree Beeler, whose aunt died on December 21st.
