SCHAFER A NNIVERSARIES MARGARET AND JAMES SCHAFER In 1962, at a Christmas Dance at Glassboro College, Jim Schafer met Peg McCollum and started a romance that celebrated its 50th Wedding Anniversary on June 16th, 2012. After meeting at the dance, Jim asked Peg on their first date, ice skating on Bargaintown Lake. Jim was a freshman after serving two years in Germany in the army and Peg was a junior at Glassboro College. They have been in love ever since. Peg graduated in 1960 and began her 39 year career as an elementary teacher in the Linwood School system. Jim graduated in 1962 and joined Peg in Linwood to begin a 33 year career as a guidance counselor and coach at Mainland Regional High School and Atlantic Community College. The two married on June 16th, 1962 and moved into the house in which they still live in Linwood where they raised their three kids. Their eldest, Jim (wife Debby), is a retired math teacher and coach and presently Head Golf Professional at Mays Landing Golf and Country Club, Brad is a Hotel Manager of Knights Inn in Atlantic City, and Janel is the Technology Integration Coach for Hamilton Township School District. Jim and Peg’s greatest joy is their grandchildren, Justin, Connor, Amanda, and Brad. These proud grandparents have spent their retirement vacationing and working part time together, travelling the country organizing college fairs. The happy couple still celebrates every birthday, holiday, and special occasion with the entire family, their greatest success and delight. They were married in 1952 in Chester, PA. They started off their married life in Texas, then Absecon, NJ, before moving their growing family to Ocean City, NJ in 1965 for the next 40 years. Osprey Point in Upper Twp. became home for the next 5 years and now Cathy and Herb are back in Ocean City at The Shores of Wesley Manor. They are the very proud parents of seven children, who in turn gave them 23 beautiful grandchildren and 13 great grandchildren, who all ADORE their Nanny and Pop-Pop! Amanda received her Associates Degree in Nursing from Atlantic Cape Community College and is currently pursuing her Bachelors Degree in Nursing at Rutgers. She is employed as a nurse by Preferred Home Health Care in Galloway. Ryan graduated from Pearl River High School in Pearl River, New York. Rodio has received a Bachelor of Science Degree in Business Administration with a major in Marketing from Philadelphia University. The Graduation Ceremonies were held on May 13th, 2012. Anthony is currently at Parx Casino in Bensalem PA. and is residing in East Falls. He will begin in the Masters Program at Philadelphia University in the fall and will pursue an MBA from that institution. ROSS SARAH ROSS Sarah Elizabeth Ross graduated with a Juris Doctorate Degree from Rutgers-Camden School of Law in a commencement ceremony held on May 17th, 2012. While at Rutgers-Camden, Ms. Ross contributed to the Rutgers Law Journal and participated in Hunter Moot Court. Ms. Ross also worked as a law clerk for Gegoski & Bogdanoff, P.C., located in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. Ms. Ross is a 2005 graduate of Absegami High School and a 2009 graduate of The College of New Jersey. She is the daughter of Robert and Mary Beth Ross of Egg Harbor City. Ms. Ross will clerk for the Honorable Bernard E. DeLury, Jr. of the Superior Court of New Jersey following the bar examination in July 2012. DAGGETT Christopher and Lee Anne Daggett of Northfield, NJ have been blessed by the birth of their son, Daniel Norman. Daniel was born on April 18, 2012, weighing 6 lbs., 9 oz. and measuring 20 inches long. Proud Grand-parents are Norman and Elizabeth Knowles of Iverness, Fla., John and Carlye Monell of Northfield, NJ, and Colonel Robert and Barbara Daggett of Cape May, NJ. Daniel is also welcomed by many other family members and friends. A special thank you to Dr. Robert Debbs of Shore Medical Center and Dr. Phillip Korzeniowski and staff of Somers Manor for helping our son to arrive safely.
