First Draft.

INT. Outside

The opening scene starts out with a view of a trashcan. Then all of a sudden the trashcan is knocked over by a man with a briefcase. The briefcase drops out of his hands and he scuffles it up. The man is running and turns to see an army of people chasing him. This goes on for about 23 seconds. The song Blitzkrieg Bop by The Ramones is playing. All of a sudden fade out

INT. Office

We are in an office with 2 men. Shark- the “don.” Also there is Isaac- the need anything to get money person.

Shark(Camera shows his face) Do you know who I am?

Isaac(Camera shows his face) I believe I do

Shark(Cam. Back on his face) believe, ha! What are you an evangelist?

IsaacLast time I check I was a businessman…now lets not get anymore personal,

and lets do business

SharkNow you’re speaking my language. I need you to get a briefcase. This

case is at a man’s house

IsaacWho’s?

SharkIt’s on a need to know basis.

Isaac

Ok

SharkAnd all you need to know is what you know, and that is nothing so, take this paper. These men will get the case. All I need you to do is bring

the case here. You’ve got one week.

IsaacThank you Mr. Shark

Shark(As Isaac walks through the door) And one last thing. Don’t let me down.

Because if you do I will make sure your life is a living hell.

INT. Shop

Isaac is walking into a shop where he will find the 2 guys who will get the briefcase. The scene first shows the back of Isaac’s feet walking. Music- Rancid: Time Bomb. Isaac then opens the door. The brothers are Irish. These brothers do odd jobs and serve a debt with the shark.

Isaac(Looks around then finds a bell and rings it slowly, then gradually

several times).

Dominique(Rises from the ground with papers, sets them on the counter) Yes my

lad…the bell the working.

IsaacOh, sorry about that.

DominiqueWhat is it you be needing.

IsaacA favor

Dominique(Leans over the table) what kind of favor

DJ(Out from under the counter, surprises Isaac) What kind of favor

IsaacJesus, Mary of God. Where did you come from?

DjUnder the table, what are ya, mad?

IsaacAnyways, it’s a job

DJI thought you said it was a favor, now it’s a job. Oh me, I’m confused.

Dominique(Slaps him over the head) Go into the back before I dropkick ya! Now how

much we talkin’.

IsaacNothing.

DominiqueNothing?

DJ(Pokes his head out from the back) Nothing?

DominiqueGet back there you imbo--… idiot.

IsaacDid I stutter?

DJNo, but you did.

DominiqueI said get back there or I’m telling ma. Now what you need to understand is that nothing we do is free. It takes money to run a business. Now if

no money is coming in then were out of business. Now as far as I’m concerned there is no money coming in, so make like a bee and buzz off.

IsaacOk, I see how ya’ll are, and how this business is run. I mean I

understand. (Opens the door and turns around) But I hope the shark does too.

Dominique(The camera zooms in his face to see his reaction) Did you say the

shark?

Isaac Why yes, I did, does that have any appeal to you.

DominiqueYou bet your bloody baby backs it does. Come into the back and we’ll

talk.

FADE-OUT.

INT. Streets

A hustler named Loc is out selling some stolen products. Loc is very streetwise and has a way with words

Loc(Camera is zoomed into a necklace, and then Loc picks it up) Ladies and Gentleman…Boys and girls. I have here a necklace that was made to fit any human race. So let’s pick up the pace, and buy this wonder lace. If your without it then you mine as well shoot yourself, because that is

what you’ll the doing when you see Princess Diana wearing it.

ManShe’s dead you retard

LocYeah, and so is your wallet. Back to business people, any takers.

2 kids are playing and one runs over his shop and nocks his stand over. They try to scramble to stand up. But Loc stops them.

LocHey, you two.

Kids(Walk toward Loc slowly.)

LocLook what you two did. DO you know how much that costs?

Kids(With there heads down) Nooooo.

LocIt costs all the money in your pocket, no cough it up.

Kids(Both looks disappointed and dig in their pockets; they slam the money

in Loc’s hand)

LocThanks for your business boys. Now get out of my site.

Isaac(Walks across Loc) Loc is that you

Loc(Counting and looking his money) Who wants to know?

IsaacStop counting your life’s savings for one second

LocHey! Isaac (hugs him)

Isaac(Laughs) So what’s up with you?

LocNothing, just robbing people of their paychecks.

IsaacCool. Dude I just got done talking with Dominique and DJ

LocThose 2 Irish fools. What are they doing, or should I say scamming.

Isaac

I sent them to do a job

LocFor who?Isaac

The shark

LocMan, don’t they owe him money?

IsaacYeah.

LocHow did they get in such a deep debt?

Isaac(Laughs) You’re really going to enjoy this.

INT. Car

There are 2 men in a vehicle. The men are named Dominique and DJ. They own a small store and perform “odd jobs” for cash. This scene will introduce us to an example of an odd job. They sit in a car and discuss a plan off action.

DJSO were just going into this man’s house and steal a diamond.

DominiqueYes, I made it simple so you wouldn’t screw up.

DJAh, ok, I have one question then

DominiqueYeah

DJIs he home?

DominiqueJesus Christ, are you sure mom didn’t drop you as a child

DJI don’t remember.

DominiqueLook, this is how it’s going down in Chinatown. We go through the back door, pick the lock, grab the diamond and get out before he shows up.

DJGot it.

DominiqueSure hope so.

The both get out of the car in a sort of “cool way” as if they are celebrities. The look both ways and put on their ski masks. While walking they see 2 older women jogging, they wave idiotically. The brothers open the back gate that surrounds the backyard. They then approach the back to that leads them into the house.

INT. House

Dominique(Knelled over the ground and pulls out his tools from his backpack)

Let’s see. Bingo.

DJScore!

Dominique(Turns to DJ) why don’t you have any gloves on?

DJI uh, forgot. But at least I brought my ski mask.

Dominique(Opens the door and turns to DJ) Don’t touch anything.

DJ(Mimics Dominique) Don’t touch anything.

They walk into the house and look around for the diamond. Bingo! The diamond is resting on a stand.

DominiqueThere was a farmer…who had a dog…and his name was bingo.

DJHey, (pointing outside) that looks like The Shark’s car doesn’t it.

Dominique(Runs toward the window) Sure does look like it. Lets not wait around

and find out.

They get their stuff together and Dominique grabs the diamond. Dominique runs out the side door and makes it out all right. DJ idiotically runs out the front do and bumps into The Shark.

INT. Front Yard

SharkWhat’s happening DJ?

DJWe didn’t take it.

SharkTake, take what?

DJExactly.

SharkDJ, if you broke in my house and stole something you can tell me…I’m

your friend. Think of me as the father you’re never had.

DJOK, Dominique took your diamond and ran.

SharkCan you point where?

Dominique(About 50ft from DJ and The Shark) Please don’t rat me out like a

freaking fifth grader.

DJ points in Dominique’s direction. Dominique reacts in a pissed of action. As a child would when his friend told his parents that he broke the vase, when you anted your friend to act like he was clueless to the incident.

FADEOUT

INT. Outside

We are brought back to the present with Isaac and Loc. They are both laughing extremely loud. You can see their comprehension of the story though their laughter.

LocMan that’s GOT TO SUCK.

IsaacYeah

LocSo why do you bother with The Shark?

IsaacBusiness. That’s where the money is.

LocWhy not is an entrepreneur like mewa?

IsaacSure, like you…if I remember correctly weren’t you taking money from a

bunch of kids? (Isaac walks off)

LocSurvival of the fittest my friend, survival of the fittest.

FADEOUT

INT. Car

Once again Dominique and DJ are trying to steal. This time it’s a briefcase. Also they aren’t trying to steal from the Crime lord of the

city. Dominique is waiting in the car for DJ. DJ then appears out from the front door. Walking toward the sidewalk a car stops in front of DJ. A beautiful woman gets out of the car. The then approaches DJ and hits him in the face and takes the briefcase. She steps back into the vehicle and drives off. Dominique gets out of the car and runs over to his brother DJ.

DominiqueWheres? The briefcase.

DJWell I’m OK.

DominiqueWhere is the case?

DJThat girl has it.

DominiqueGirl? What did she look like? Did she have a tattoo on her arm?

DJYeah, I saw that tattoo when she it me. Who is she?

DominiqueJulia.

DJWhy was she here?

DominiqueWell she wanted to get back together and I told her that we could have

lunch after I finish a job.

DJAnd you call me stupid. I would have had told her to have lunch before

the job.

DominiqueLook that isn’t important we still need to get this case before The

Shark has our heads mounted on his wall next to some deer.

DJWhere does she stay?

DominiqueI don’t know but I know who does.

INT. Outside

DJ and Dominique walk up to Dominique who is sleeping outside in a chair.

DJIs he asleep?

Dominique(Sarcastically) No he’s just resting his eyes.

DJOh, I thought he was asleep

DominiqueHe is asleep

DJYou just told me he wasn’t asleep. Man, you lie too much.

DominiqueI called sarcasm.

DJSo you still lied to me, and that hurts.

LocCan I help you ladies?

DominiqueYeah

LocCome in.

They walk into Loc’s house. It’s pretty trashed up. They walk around toward the back. TO their surprise, Isaac is there.

LocSit down

DominiqueOh, hey Isaac

LocWhat is it you wanted?

DominiqueOh, nothing

LocAre you sure?

DominiqueYeah.

LocOK

DJWait, I know what you were going to tell him about the brie—

DominiqueNo I wasn’t

Isaac(Stands up) what about the briefcase?

DJOh, I wasn’t suppose to tell you

IsaacWell you started no use trying to end before you begin.

DominiqueLook we had it but—Julia snatched it from DJ

DJAnd she punched me.

IsaacDamn. OK you two need to get that case or it’s your anus on The Shark dinner plate. OK. Now get out and I don’t want to see you unless your carrying a case that is rectangular and black full of hot, wet, stink

cash. Now beat it.

INT. Outside

We see again DJ and Dominique outside out their car with nothing but black on. They run around on the lawn. After approaching the front door they pick the lock. They enter the house. Finally after searching for several minutes they spy the briefcase. As DJ reaches for the case and gun is presented to his head. FADE OUT.

INT. The dinning room

We are presented with Julia, one tough chick. This is the type of chick who men fear. They fear her because she doesn’t need a man for anything except reproduction. We are in a dark room, and then the lights come on.

JuliaWell, well, well. Looks like you two are in a sort of jam.

DJYou could say that.

DominiqueWhat do you want?

JuliaMe, oh, the usual…money. So I am going to ask you all one more time.

What is in this case?

DJI don’t know

JuliaWe’ll for your life’s sake you better hope its dinero, muchos dinero.

Julia grabs the briefcase and lays it on a table. She looks at the brothers who look at her. She grabs a pin and picks the lock. After picking the lock and click is heard. She then lifts the case top open.

She then turns the case to the brothers. The camera shows us what is in the case. The case is full of money. She smiles at them closes and walks of with the case.

DJWas that muchos dinero?

DominiqueIf my arm wasn’t taped, I would pimp slap you. Now we need to figure out

how to get out.

DJIsaac said he would call for help in the morning if we didn’t show up.

DominiqueWho

DJHe said J-Ja- James.

DominiqueHe’s coming here

Julia(Out of nowhere) What did you say?

DJNothing

JuliaNo, I heard something about James

DominiqueOh, He said that James brown was overrated.

JuliaOh, can you ladies keep it down.

DominiqueSure. No problem.

INT. Morning

A car door is shown. The door is opened a leg is shown. Then the person gets out of the car and the camera works it’s way upward and finally we see the character’s face. The character smiles. His name is James. James takes care of the complicated business, The Shark trusts him with the utmost respect. His cell phone rings…

James(Reaches in his pocket) Yeah. OK, I’ll be there in 15. I swear they

can’t live an hour without me. And that’s ok.

INT. House

James walks up to a house where his job is. In this job he is suppose to collect amass of cash. He will and can’t walk out the front door without it. James knocks on the door.

Johnny(Opens the door with a phone in his hand)

JamesHey Johnny! Can I come in?

Johnny(Speaking in gibberish) Yeah

James(Reaches down to pick up the phone, and he clicks it off) Here’s your

phone

JohnnyMy grandma was on the other line

JamesI think this is a little more important than your grandma. Now Johnny, please have a seat. My um, employer he; Are you aware of my employer,

The Shark?

Johnny(Gibberish)

JamesJohnny, I need an answer!

JohnnyA little

JamesWell hell, that’s a start. My employer’s name is The Shark. He would

kill me if I didn’t do my job 100%, ok. Johnny, I’m not being sarcastic. That is beside the point. Johnny, are you aware of your debt.

JohnnyYes. I can get the money tom-

JamesLook Johnny, I can’t go and tell The Shark that you will have the money tomorrow, because of 2 reasons. 1) Tomorrow might turn in to hundreds of tomorrows.2) If I go and tell The Shark that I don’t have his money he will kill me. My family. My friends. Significant others. And anyone I have even thought about. That includes you. Have you ever wondered if

you will live tomorrow? With something like that on your mind, trust me…it’s a little hard to sleep. And the minute you wakeup, your just so

paranoid that the next person you see will be him. Your death dealer. Is this sinking in at all sons?

Johnny(Gulps) Yes dir.

JamesI am not a reaper, but as soon as I dig in my back pocket for my gun, I

can turn into one. Johnny, You must understand that I haven’t ever killed a person before. But just like bad habit I can start. Now how do

you think Martha, your wife would like that?

JohnnyShe wouldn’t

JamesAnd your son, Greg. For God sakes he’s in 3rd grade. You wanna talk

about live fat and die young. Or what about your illigentament child, Chris.

JohnnyI never told anyone about that.

JamesAm I ringing your bell?

JohnnyYes, I will get the money.

JamesNow you’re speaking my language, for a minute there I thought I was

speaking Greek to ya.

Johnny leaves and comes back with a bag. James takes the bag and walks out the door.

JohnnyHey, I thought you said you had a gun.

JamesI said that, oh. I didn’t have a gun, I have some gun. Here (he throws

it to Johnny). Take it easy.

Johnny looks at the piece of gum and puts it in his mouth. He exclaims relief by grabbing his Bible and reads it laughing and crying. We leave the house and see James get into a car. He then drives off to Julia’s house. James knockout Julia and proceeds to the briefcase. He then hears the brothers screaming. He cuts them loose and takes them to Loc’s house. They enter the house.

INT. Loc’s House

IsaacWhere is the case?

DominiqueYeah

JamesActually I have it. Here you go. (Leaves)

IsaacWhat are you two doing here?

DJUS?

IsaacYeah

DJWe need a ride.

IsaacOh, ok. We’ll the city can give you a ride.

DJReally, did you here that Dominique

DominiqueI’m not concerned with that I am more concerned with the fight tonight,

that manager/promoter here is so anxious to go to.

IsaacLook, there is a fight tonight. Between Omar and Jared. OK

DominiqueI know that, the only question is why I wasn’t told about it.

IsaacI’m sorry about that; I only wanted the high rollers at the fight, to

keep he cash flow going. You guys understand.

DominiqueI wasn’t talking about that, I was talking about the 25 grand.

Isaac25 grand (laughs), what could you be possibly talking about.

Dominique(Walks to the briefcase) This 250 grand.

Dominique opens the case and BOOM! We see the cash once again. Loc walks in and sees the cash. Loc drops a glass and walks toward the cash and picks up a stack. He then smells it.

LocI smell sex and candy

IsaacPut that down. Listen, all of you listen very closely. This isn’t my money. It is The Shark’s. This is his money that goes into his vault.

Now I don’t want to mess up my last job before I retire. So I’m going to ask you guys to act mature and erase this from your memory. And if word gets around of this money…I will hunt you all down, Capishe. Because The

Shark will be looking for me. And I don’t want that. OK.

Dominique

Ok

DJSure

LocWhat? Are you saying that we don’t get any money?

IsaacNo.

LocNot even a dollar?

IsaacLook, if you want a dollar then here (hands him a dollar). Please don’t

spend it all in one place.

Isaac leaves with the case. Everyone watches as he leaves. Once the door closes everyone starts rambling about the cash. Finally they hush up.

LocThis money could clear up are debts with The Shark.

DJSure would

DominiqueWell, how are we going to get it then?

DominiqueWell let’s see, Julia is the only other person who knows about the money. Let’s get her over here and we can figure out how to get the

money.

LocI’ll get the phone book.

INT. Loc’s House

Julia steps out of her vehicle and walks in. She sits down. There is dead silence until.

JuliaNo hard feeling.

DJOh, don’t worry. It only hurts when I talk.

DominiqueWell this meeting is ready to begin. (Clears his throat) Isaac, The

Shark’s most trusted employee has a briefcase. Within this case are 250 grand. We need that money. This money can clear us all of our previous debt. Also can leave us will some spending money. Now this plan requires us to get to that fight. That is where, you, Julia come in. According to my knowledge…you have friends in high place, and so that would make you

a “high roller.” We need to get to that fight because at the fight will be Isaac. With Isaac is the briefcase. Once it’s in our possession we

will rendezvous back here and drive to Mexico.

DJWhy Mexico, that’s so obvious.

DominiqueNot as obvious as your lack of intelligence.

Loc(Laughs) Sounds like a plan.

JuliaI will make some calls; we should be able to get in with no problem.

FADEOUT.

INT. Fight Club

We enter a warehouse type building. This is where the fight is taking place. This is a “street fight” between two fighters Jared and Omar. Omar is the focused fighter. The camera shows the audience waiting for the fight. We key a view of The Shark, Isaac, Julia, DJ, and Dominique. All of a sudden James comes in and whispers something to The Shark. The Shark nods his head. The Shark leans over to Isaac and whispers to him. Isaac walks toward the locker room. The camera follows him. The door is labeled “Jared.” The door is opened. We see Omar lying on furniture. Isaac nods him in an “it’s time” fashion. Omar and Isaac walk a long walk. CKY: Flesh into Gear is playing in the background. We see Omar “pumping up.” This consists of practice jabs. Jumping around. Turning of his neck. We enter the ring. Once in the ring, Omar looks at his opponent. The camera shows Jared. He is smiling.

Omar(Sits down) What is smiling about?

Isaac(Massaging Omar’s shoulders) He probably thinks he’s going to win.

Loc enters in to MC.

LocMay I have your attention? Tonight is the night. Tonight is fight night. Trust me ladies and gentlemen there is no other better place to be. I mean you get drama, action, and hell…comedy. The bets are in and its

time to dine. Fighter, when you hear the bell—unleash hell.

They both walk toward each other. Stare for a while. Then they sit down. The bell rings Omar walks a couple of feet then stop. He turns around. Jared gets up and runs to hit Omar. When Jared is close enough, Omar turns around and sticks him in his face. Jared hits the ground, he spits out blood.

JaredI think you broke my nose

OmarTrust me, if I did you would know it

Jared gets up and tries to collect himself. Jared swings at Omar and hits nothing but air.

OmarCome on hit me, fine I’ll give you a bragger. Hit me on the cheek.

JaredNo. I earn my keep

OmarHey, it’s your world.

Jared swings several times at Omar and once again hits nothing. Jared his beginning to tire. Jared swings a final time. Omar picks him up and throws him over. Omar drags Jared to the center. He kneels down

OmarMan, you don’t look that great. Are you a boxer?

JaredYeah, why

OmarYou fight like one. DO you wish you’d taken that free shot?

JaredYeah. But now I can’t feel my face.

Omar(Lifts him up) up you go

JaredWhat are you doing?

OmarI am going to take you to the hospital

JaredThank you

OmarDid you know that I’m an anesthesiologist?

Jared(Wobbling) oh really, what’s that

OmarI put people to sleep

After the statement, Omar punches Jared into unconsciousness. The bell rings and Loc runs in and lifts up Omar’s hands in a sign of victory. Loc then nods to Julia. Julia talks to The Shark. We can’t hear what they are saying. Then DJ grabs the case, and goes to his chair. He puts

the case underneath his chair. Dominique drops his wallet next to the case. He then picks up the case and walks out. Julia leaves.

Shark(Looks to where the case was) Julia, did you see my briefcase

JuliaWhat briefcase sir?

SharkOh, nothing.

The Shark gets on his cell phone and calls up James.

James(Picks up his phone) What kind of a problem?

We are lead back to where The Shark is.

Isaac(Runs to The Shark) Yeah, we won.

SharkThere is a situation the case is missing

IsaacCan you repeat that?

SharkThe case is missing

IsaacWhat?

Shark(Screams) My goddamn case with 250 thousand dollars is not here a more.

IsaacOhhhhhhhhhhhh.

SharkDo you know who could have done this?

IsaacYeah. There are many people who want that money, primarily because they

owe you a portion of that.

SharkWhat do you mean?

IsaacWell, the two-brother…DJ and Dominique owe you 10 thousand. Julia owes you 5 thousand from the loan you gave her. Loc owes you 15 thousand for selling you a cheap and worthless diamond. But James and me owe you

nothing.

SharkThank you for that insightful data, but that doesn’t tell me where my

money is.

James(Shows up) I might have an idea.

INT. Morning-Loc’s house

James and Isaac walk toward Loc’s house.

JamesI can see why they would take it, but could they at least wait until I

leave.

IsaacYeah, but let me tell you this, I have a jet waiting at the airport for me. I am going to get this briefcase and take it with me. I respect The

Shark and all, but he doesn’t pay enough. Plus easy money.

JamesWell since you put it that way, can I join you.

IsaacWhatever. (Rings the doorbell)

Loc approaches the door with a wineglass. Hey turns to see that it is James and Isaac.

LocHey guys…want a drink.

JamesAs soon as you let us in.

LocI don’t know about that, let’s talk outside.

JamesDon’t make me grab my gum (sounds like gun) and pop it at you.

LocSure come in

IsaacStill using that gum trick

JamesAs long as it works.

James and Isaac enter the room and see cash spread across the table. Dominique, Julia, and Loc are in the room.

JamesWanna talk about keeping a low profile.

IsaacDo you know whom this money belongs to?

DominiqueYes.

IsaacAnd what where you planning to do with the cash.

DominiqueGive it back

JamesIs that so.

IsaacWhere that fool…DJ?

DominiqueI don’t know, let me go look for him

JamesNo, I will.

DominiqueOk.

IsaacMan, you guys almost pulled it off.

DJ walks in with a bat and knocks it over Isaacs’s head. Loc gets the money and puts it in the case.

JuliaWhat know?

DJWe have to kill James.

LocWell, you guys can do that, but I’ll see you all later.

DominiqueWhat do you mea-, hey…get him.

Julia, DJ, and Dominique chase after Loc who has the case. They run outside. The camera shows Isaac lying on the ground.

JamesWhat was all that racquet? Hey what are you doing on the ground?

Isaac(Gets up) They got the case

JamesWith our money.

IsaacYes.

JamesWell what are we waiting for, an invitation—let’s get the case

James and Isaac are shown tailing Julia who is tailing DJ who is tailing Dominique who is tailing Loc. Loc runs for a while, then he trips over a stand. This stand is being run by the same kids who he robbed.

Kid 1Yeah, you knocked over my stand.

LocSo sue me.

Kid2 (Reaches and grabs the suitcase) Look what I have

Loc(Scrambling to get up) please give that back.

Kid 3Seems like he needs it.

Loc starts to chase the kids. The kids run in fear. Kid2 throws the case to Kid3 who gives it to Kid1 gives it to Loc. Loc takes it and goes the other direction. The armies of people are chasing Loc, who throws it over a fence to climb it. Once he gets over the fence, James is waiting there; he takes the case and runs with it.

IsaacYeah, we got the case

JamesWho are you talking about we? Every man for himself in this mutha

James is running until a shopping cart hits him. The man pushing the cart was the same man that James previously visited. The man takes the case and pushes the cart. James scrambles to his feet get the man. The man who is pushing the cart thrown the case in the cart. After throwing the case in the cart he jumps in. Everyone is chasing the man in the cart. He thinks he is going somewhere until the cart falls over. James gets the case back and runs into an alley. He takes a couple of breaths. Julia approaches him in the alley. She smiles. He tries to escape but it’s a dead end. She punches him and walks out with the case.

James(Runs out to the army) Hey. Julia has the case

The army stops and runs toward Julia who is now running. Julia drops the case thinking she still has it. Dominique sprints to the case. And he scoops it up. DJ sprints past Dominique and Dominique gives the case to his brother who cuts the corner. A wire on the ground catches the case. So it is out of DJ’s hands. Isaac scoops it up once again. He trips and

hits a trashcan. This is where the movie started. Everyone is chasing him. Isaac turns to look at the people chasing him and when he looks forward he sees The Shark. He halts and so does the army of chasers.

IsaacHere’s your case, sir (hands him the case)

SharkThank you

JamesHe was going to ke—

SharkYes, I am well aware.

JamesHow?

SharkBecause I staged all of this to see who I could and couldn’t trust. So you see none of you can be trusted. You all tried to rob me and take

what wasn’t yours.
