What do you want the students to know?Your college experience is truly what you make it so don’t be afraid to try lots of new things, join different organizations, stay engaged in your learning, make lots of new friends (but don’t forget the old), and take some risks (this doesn’t mean be reckless). If you open yourself up to the opportunities that come your way, you can be sure to have a great experience. And even if things don’t go so well, don’t give up because at least you will have learned something from every bad experience.

Hey fellow Badgers! My name is David and I’m from Greenfield, Wisconsin. While in high school, I was involved with National Honor Society and Math Club. One of the highlights of my life so far has been the amazing experience I’ve had while running for public office at the age of 18. While I lost by 107 votes, it has never kept me from fighting for what I believe in. If you ever have any questions on what it’s like running for office, please don’t hesitate to let me know. The most important thing people should know about me is my continued commitment to Wisconsin (primarily why I chose UW-Madison) and my life-long goal of making sure that everyone—regardless of socioeconomic status or race—can have access to strong educational opportunities. Good luck on your next 4 years here at UW-Madison, fellow Badgers!

I’m a mega weird and boring introvert; I feel sorry for the people who are friends with me o_O. I’m more of a polar-bear-hibernation-kind-of-kid who enjoys playing video games (RPGs and MMORPGs), watching anime and movies, reading books/ comics/ manga, and messing around on Photoshop; the only outdoorsy activity I genuinely take pleasure in is tennis. When I’m not being a lazy bum, I like to indulge myself in the world of diverse ethnic cuisines, photography, sketching, painting, piano, and homework for hours. I was intensely involved in various high school extracurricular clubs, organization offices, and the rigorous IB Program, but since high school’s over now, I’m too lazy to list all of that boring stuff. PEACE OUT.

My full name is Adetola Coker, but everyone calls me Tola. I’m 17 and I’m from Milwaukee and I am a Rufus King High School Alum. I love all things hip hop, and my favorite artists are Kendrick Lamar and Childish Gambino. I was born here, but both of my parents were born in Nigeria, so I’m foreign :) I like to write and I like to sing even though I can’t. Fun fact: I drank out of Kendrick Lamar’s water bottle once lol.
