DESIGNPassoni & Villa surge arresters are gapless type.Metal oxide blocks with high non linear characteri-stic, are placed in series inside high strength porce-lain (on request composite envelope, resin fiber glasstube with silicon sheds and surge arrester for GIS).Surge arrester consists of one or more units: eachunit is hermetically sealed and on both ends of porce-lain are cemented aluminium flanges provided withventing port.When the Surge Arrester is equipped with Surgecounter, high strength insulating sub-bases areinstalled on the bottom.
