Scandinavia’s three countries — Sweden,

Denmark and Norway — offer a kaleidoscope

of stunning scenery and intriguing activities that

would melt the heart of the most jaded traveler.

After long cold winters, Nordic summers bring

long warm days, fields of wildflowers everywhere

and locals venturing outdoors for strolls and

visits to outdoor cafés. Glaciers melt into deep

fjords and mountains sparkle with waterfalls and

crystal-clear lakes. Explore the capital cities of

Stockholm, Copenhagen and Oslo, and visit

quaint rural villages in the lush countryside. Make

a breathtaking train descent into the Norwegian

village of Flåm, cruise through the Stockholm

archipelago and spend a merry evening in

Copenhagen’s Tivoli Gardens. Skål!

What to ExpectWe consider this program to be moderately strenuous. On two days there are longer drives of four to six hours each, broken up by several stops, and several days have early-morning starts in order to accommodate train and ferry schedules. Daily excursions may involve up to one mile of walking on city streets, sometimes over cobblestones or on unpaved roads in his-toric areas. Guided tours and excursions may require climbing up and down several flights of stairs where steps may be steep, uneven or without handrails, and elevators are limited or unavailable. Some sites do not allow motor-coaches to pull directly in front, thus requiring a several-minutes’ walk to reach the entrance. Participants must be physically fit, active and in good health. Some lunches and dinners are independent, allowing us to explore the many fine dining options in Stockholm, Copenhagen, Oslo and Bergen. We welcome travelers 15 years of age and older on this program.
