grieving the loss of a loved one, which is

why Centennial Park provides a transitional

memorial area called Contemplation Court.

Contemplation Court plays an important role in the

grieving process for families. It provides a peaceful

and serene place that people can visit during the

early stages of grieving as they come to terms

with the loss of their loved one.

Contemplation Court is a unique facility in South

Australia that allows family and friends to visit

loved ones for several months after cremation

until fi nal decisions are made.

Ultimately, a longer term memorial provides the

fi nal binding between the life and memories of

the deceased with those of the living.

Contemplation Court is a courtesy service

provided to the families of those who have

been cremated at Centennial Park.

Cremations will take place as soon as practical; families should be advised that cremation may not occur on the day of the service/booking.

STANDARD CREMATION PACKAGE

The Standard Cremation Package requires that the ashes be placed into Centennial Park’s transitional memorial area, Contemplation Court. Contemplation Court provides a peaceful and serene space that people can visit during the early stages of their grieving process.

FLEXIBLE CREMATION PACKAGE

The Flexible Cremation Package is available should the family or funeral director require flexibility and options for the ashes to be collected from Centennial Park, ashes to be placed into an unmarked location or where the splitting of ashes is required.

SPLITTING OF ASHES

Splitting of ashes into multiple containers can be completed if requested on the Cremation Authority (CA Form).

There is a fee of $15.00 for each additional container required.

4 HOUR TURNAROUND

A 4 hour turnaround is only available with the flexible cremation package.

When a 4 hour turnaround has been requested the cremated ashes will only be available for collection directly from Centennial Park 4 hours after the receipt of the deceased at the crematorium (as long as all legal documents are correct and received). Ashes are only available for collection from Centennial Park between 9am to 5pm, Monday to Friday.

The coffin must arrive no later than 1pm to meet our 4 hour turnaround time requirements. $250.00

COLLECTION

Centennial Park offers a collection service for cremations. A collection fee applies where the deceased is collected outside of a 50km radius of Centennial Park.

GENERAL INFORMATION

A Plain English Statement (CCASA Form) must be completed for all new burial Interment Rights by the proposed Interment Right holder before burial can occur.

Families should be aware that there are specific monumental requirements in particular areas and should understand these before purchasing a position.

Standard areas are not irrigated.

NEW BURIAL INTERMENT RIGHTS

Interment Rights for new burial positions are issued for an initial period of 50 years.

RENEWED BURIAL INTERMENT RIGHTS

Interment Rights for renewed burial positions are issued for an initial period of 25 years.

ADDITIONAL TENURE

Families may add additional tenure to Interment Rights in a minimum of 5 year increments and are encouraged to do so.

PERPETUITY (FOREVER)

We understand the importance of a memorial as a symbolic place shared between family, friends and future generations. Centennial Park now offers Interment Rights in perpetuity.

INTERMENT RIGHT HOLDER

Rights and responsibilities are defined in the Plain English Statement Form. The family must decide who will be the Interment Right holder, as only the Interment Right holder can authorise interments and monumental work at the site.

TRANSFER OF INTERMENT RIGHT DECLARATION FORM

A transfer of an Interment Right is only permitted with the approval of Centennial Park.

A transfer of an Interment Right Declaration form must be submitted to Centennial Park.

Transfer of Interment Right Declaration Form must be completed when re-opening of grave takes place and the Interment Right holder is deceased.
