MONTEREY ONE WATERMONTEREY ONE WATER is a public wastewater and water recycling agency servicing cities and districts in northern Monterey County. Our team is full of environmental superheroes who are driven by our mission to turn the area’s wastewater into safe, resilient water solutions for the community and the environment.
The SCADA Analyst implements, maintains, and supports the automation and process control infrastructure for our wastewater and water recycling processes. Using a combination of strong analytical and communication skills, the position will closely collaborate with engineers, operators, and other internal staff to create operational efficiencies and system reliability through the development and configuration of various automated and process control equipment.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIESKEY RESPONSIBILITIES• Develop, implement, and maintain SCADA applications
using Factorytalk View and Factorytalk Historian.
• Configure and maintain OSISoft PI Historian andVantagepoint reporting software including Excel reportsand web-based reports.
• Program standard and custom code to best configure theautomated and process control systems.
• Troubleshoot issues that may arise with the SCADAnetworking equipment.
• Assist in the planning, design, research, development, andcommissioning of all projects that include process controlequipment or systems.
• Use expertise to help develop and implement bestpractices and policies related to the installation,maintenance, and operations of the Agency’s automationand process control systems.
Each day, we process ~17 million gallons of wastewater from the 250,000 residents and 7,000 businesses in our service area
As a Joint Powers Authority, we are a public Agency representing 10 cities/districts in northern Monterey County
We give wastewater new life through water reuse:• 13,000 acre feet per year for food crop irrigation• 3,500 acre feet per year for groundwater
replenishment of a drinking water basin
Using anaerobic digestion, by products of the wastewater treatment process are used to produce: • Green energy (methane gas) and• Ground covering (biosolids)

• Extensive knowledge of SCADA Systems (hardware and software)
• Experience in Active Directory
• A strong background with industrial communication systems including Ethernet/IP, Modbus, Profibus and Fieldbus structures
• Proficiency in FactoryTalk View, FactoryTalk Historian and SQL
• Knowledge of local and cloud-based servers and networks
• Excellent troubleshooting skills
EDUCATION AND WORK EXPERIENCEEDUCATION AND WORK EXPERIENCE Equivalent to the completion of a bachelor’s degree in engineering, computer science, electronics, programming, or related field, and four (4) years of increasingly responsible work experience in maintaining, installing, troubleshooting, and repairing SCADA and other automation and process control systems common to processing plants. Five (5) additional years of relevant work experience can be used to supplement two (2) years of college level coursework.

COMPENSATION AND BENEFITS:COMPENSATION AND BENEFITS: The annual salary for this position ranges from $99,652.80 - $127,254.40 depending on experience and qualifications. Salary is complemented by an attractive and comprehensive benefits package.
Retirement: California Public Employees’ Retirement System (CalPERS)
Insurance: Medical, dental, vision, life insurance, AD&D, and short-term and long-term disability benefits at no cost to the employee
Time Away from Work: 2 weeks of vacation (increases with length of service), 96 hours of sick leave, 13 holidays, and 1 floating holiday
