Our team is full of environmental superheroes who are driven by our mission to turn the area’s wastewater into safe, resilient water solutions for the community and the environment. The SCADA Analyst implements, maintains, and supports the automation and process control infrastructure for our wastewater and water recycling processes. Using a combination of strong analytical and communication skills, the position will closely collaborate with engineers, operators, and other internal staff to create operational efficiencies and system reliability through the development and configuration of various automated and process control equipment. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES KEY RESPONSIBILITIES Develop, implement, and maintain SCADA applications using Factorytalk View and Factorytalk Historian. Configure and maintain OSISoft PI Historian and Vantagepoint reporting software including Excel reports and web-based reports. Program standard and custom code to best configure the automated and process control systems. Troubleshoot issues that may arise with the SCADA networking equipment. Assist in the planning, design, research, development, and commissioning of all projects that include process control equipment or systems. Use expertise to help develop and implement best practices and policies related to the installation, maintenance, and operations of the Agency’s automation and process control systems. The ability to exercise sound judgement, recommend alternatives to achieve desired results, exhibit a high degree of reliability, and continually implement innovative technical solutions towards achieving Monterey One Water’s goal of providing safe and reliable water solutions are also a must. The ideal candidate will possess . . .

• Extensive knowledge of SCADA Systems (hardware and software)

• Experience in Active Directory

• A strong background with industrial communication systems including Ethernet/IP, Modbus, Profibus and Fieldbus structures

• Proficiency in FactoryTalk View, FactoryTalk Historian and SQL

• Knowledge of local and cloud-based servers and networks

• Excellent troubleshooting skills

EDUCATION AND WORK EXPERIENCEEDUCATION AND WORK EXPERIENCE Equivalent to the completion of a bachelor’s degree in engineering, computer science, electronics, programming, or related field, and four (4) years of increasingly responsible work experience in maintaining, installing, troubleshooting, and repairing SCADA and other automation and process control systems common to processing plants. Five (5) additional years of relevant work experience can be used to supplement two (2) years of college level coursework.

COMPENSATION AND BENEFITS:COMPENSATION AND BENEFITS: The annual salary for this position ranges from $99,652.80 - $127,254.40 depending on experience and qualifications. Salary is complemented by an attractive and comprehensive benefits package.

Retirement: California Public Employees’ Retirement System (CalPERS)

Insurance: Medical, dental, vision, life insurance, AD&D, and short-term and long-term disability benefits at no cost to the employee

Time Away from Work: 2 weeks of vacation (increases with length of service), 96 hours of sick leave, 13 holidays, and 1 floating holiday
