General Information Scabies is a contagious,intensely itchy skin condition caused
by a burrowing mite.
The scientific name for scabies would be Sarcoptes scabiei. Another name for scabies or Sarcoptic mange.
Scabies have been affecting people for the last 2,500 years.
The HostScabies are treated by killing the mites and their eggs with
medication that`s applied from the neck down and left on or eight hours. The mites can also be killed using oral medications.
The symptoms are the skin gets blisters,bumps,dryness,rashes,and redness. Also very common is itching. The itching is so intense it will cause bleeding and scarring.
You will see scabies appearing most between the fingers,and behind the knee is where it is most affected.
The Pathogenic Agent● The mites over power the immune system and multiply at a
quicker rate than they would on a healthy person. ● My disease is not caused by a virus or bacteria it is caused
by a mite that is a living thing. It burrows itself in human skin and causes irritation.
● The mites can live 48 to 72 hours after falling off a body.
Can anyone get it?Anyone can get scabies but the people with a higher risk of
having scabies are:
Prison inmates
People in child care facilities
People who work or are in nursing homes.

It sometimes can be hard to determine if it`s scabies ,bug bites or just acne. This is a photo to help you.
Crusted ScabiesCrusted Scabies is a very contagious variant of scabies in an
individual is infested by thousand or millions of mites living in the surface of the skin.
Can Scabies be seen?Most people with scabies only carry 10-15 mites. Each mite is
less than a half millimeters long. Which is hard to see with with a naked eye.
What carries it?Wild animals carry it and so do pets. If you're out hunting or
camping in the woods you can get it. If you leave your dog outside and he comes back, before you let him in the house make sure someone checks him or look for signs of scabies.
