Alcomsat-1 overview
Alcomsat-1 satellite is the first Algerian satellite of telecommunications. It is Located at 24.8°W. It was successfully launched on December 11, 2017.

Its payload includes : 19 BSS and FSS Ku-band channels 12 Ka-band channels 02 navigation channels

Alcomsat-1 overview
L1 & L5 signals are transmitted through the active navigation channels of Alcomsat-1 as an SBAS for GPS
(temporary GPS PRN 148). The coverage of Alcomsat-1 includes whole Africa, South America and part of Europe.
The transponders operating in this bands are still under test, and their expected time to be fully operational is from
June 2019

18 ground Reference Stations (RS),
03 Augmented Reference Stations (ARS),
01 Data Process Center (DPC),
01 Ground UpLink Station (GULS),
Alcomsat-1 navigation transponders,
User terminals.
