Application fields
Due to its compact design and the adjustable height of the contact rollers, the ballast broom SB 1 can be used for any kind of track. Whether concrete sleepers or wood sleepers are laid, the SB1 can be used everywhere. Even the ballast transport direction can be switched from right to left on the excavator.

Working principle of the ballast broom
The ballast broom SB 1 is inserted into the excavator column and tightened through bolts. After having connected the hydraulic lines the SB 1 can be moved over the track.
The adjustable side flaps make it possible to determine the distance ballast is pushed outside.
Servicing flaps incorporated into both sides of the SB 1 make it possible to replace broom hoses or to carry out maintenance operations.
The height of the SB 1 can be adjusted from the excavator in order to obtain a cleaning result as a function of the track.
