FUNDRAISER This generous team did some extra fundraising

this year with raffles and bottle drives so they

could give back to the community!

They chose KidSport Calgary, a program that has

been around for 23 years and all proceeds are

donated in Calgary to help kids that live here. Now

two kids will have the chance to play sports in

Calgary for a year thanks to these boys hard work!

Only some of the team was able to come out to

present the cheque, but all of these kids live in

Mahogany! Let’s give a big thanks to these

amazing, kind hearted kids!

PET WASTE STATIONS

IN WETLANDS There a five new pet waste station located on the

Mahogany Wetlands. This project has been a

combined effort for the City of Calgary, Copperfield

Mahogany Community Association and the Mahogany

Homeowners Association.

The project has been spearheaded by the Mahogany

Volunteer Committees Operations Coordinator Chris

Thurber who has worked with all three organisations

and local business Bone and Biscuit to have the

stations installed.

Great job to all those involved and thank you to Chris

for his persistence and great work coordinating the

project.

To all pet owners please when walking your pooch

please pick up pooch’s poop and dispose of properly.

Did you know dog poop is a major contributor to

stormwater pollution so please help contribute to a

better environment for all to live work and play for

families for generations.

Thank you for helping to keep our community spaces

clean by picking up after your pooch.

The Mahogany HOA Environmental Committee has been hard at work planning Spring events to keep our

community beautiful. Save the dates and help us keep our community Blue & Green!

Blue Water/Green Earth Day

This year’s Blue Water/Green Earth Day is Saturday, June

1 from 9am-4pm at the West Beach. Big thanks to

Adventures in Scuba for once again volunteering their

time to help us keep our lake clean! If you would like to

help out a volunteer signup sheet will be out in May, stay

tuned. We would love your help with setup, take down,

paddle boarding & kayaking support for divers, on-land

haulers, serving lunch as well as recycling, compost and

garbage monitors. Lunch is provided for all volunteers!

MAHOGANY BUSINESS ASSOCIATION

Sonata School of Music is a Yamaha music school that was founded in May 2005, by Academy Director Alvena Li.

With the vision of offering excellent quality music lessons that foster a love for music, our first school was opened in

Bridlewood. Our newest location is in Mahogany Village Market and we are very excited to be bringing music to

Mahogany families since our grand opening in September 2017. Sonata School of Music is currently serving 800

students in both communities. At Sonata, our main goal is to develop a love for music and enrich the lives of families

through music. Being one of the biggest Yamaha Schools in Western Canada has allowed us to bring an exceptional,

world renowned curriculum and the Yamaha Grade Exam system to our students.

Whether your goals are to play for fun or to become a serious musician, the Yamaha Group Classes provide the
