Welcome Message from the Event Chair

Welcome to the 3rd IEEE BTS virtual event

On behalf of the distinguished committee that is organizing the third IEEE Broadcast Technology Society’s July Pulse Event, I would like to invite you to our conference. During these times when we cannot all be physically together, these Pulse events are extremely effective in continuing to demonstrate BTS’s ongoing commitment to serve the broadcast engineering community with cutting edge educational programs even during these challenging times, and I am proud to say this July event is no exception.

The first day’s program will feature Radio RF topics and will include topics from industry experts in radio broadcasting including topics relating to the state of the art technology with regard to RF signal generation and broadcast techniques. Day two’s session is titled “NexGEN is NOW”, and will include reports from real world operators discussing how NextGEN is actually being deployed in the field using different strategies for transmission, as well as a report on the options available today for receivers. On day three, the session title is “The Codec Debate”. This session will include speakers from around the world discussing the pro’s and con’s of different codecs being proposed and utilized in the broadcast arena.

The committee is working hard to provide an exceptional program for this conference, and I would like to extend my thanks to each of them for their contributions. And of course to you the attendees and generous sponsors, thank you for your support! With your continued interest and support of quality ongoing educational programs like this, we will be able to continue to provide exceptional content for years to come.

Our company profile explains our achievements since 1954. It also confirms that we are the oldest Antenna company in the United States.

Jampro’s goal back in 1954 was to answer the need for quality broadcast antenna systems. However, these had to be at a reasonable price which remains the focus today. As a leading supplier of antennas, combiners/filters, and RF components we aim to cover all applications. This includes all products after the transmitter output. https://www.jampro.com/

Alive Telecom an RF equipment manufacturer, offers Broadcast antenna solutions for all applications. As the Broadcast industry expands ATSC 3.0 and deploys Single Frequency Networks, Alive provides unique azimuth patterns, added null fill and extreme beam-tilt

to reduce above horizon wasted energy. Alive offers VHF & UHF Low Power to High Power Pylon Coaxial Slot style Antennas in Horizontal, Elliptical or Circular Polarization as a Side or Top Mount Configuration. Our Broadband Options include Panels, Cavity Slot and Super Turn-Style Antennas. As Alive enters its 20th year we continue to demonstrated engineered solutions providing quality services for every customer and their needs. https://alivetele.com/
