Wadi Jeddah Company seeks to strengthen cooperation with relevant expertise and competence in different scientific and cultural fields, and is moving forward to expand its horizon in building such relationships and fruitful

alliances. Following the strategic direction of King Abdul Aziz University Wadi Jeddah had signed a partnership agreement with EduCluster Finland Ltd (ECF) that is owned by the University of JYVASKYLA (JYU), a highly reputed Finnish university for transfer of knowledge and experience in the field of education, training and innovation.

This agreement reflects various activities, such as:• Establishing Saudi Alliance for Education Development & Training, taking advantage

of the broad experience and distinctive partner from Finland in the development of education systems, and the field of rehabilitation and training for workers in the field of education, as well as the preparation of systematic studies and research that will contribute to develop and enhance our current educational system through Saudi Alliance for Education Development & Training.

• Conducting Knowledge and exchange programs.• Cooperation in research projects which contribute to the enrichment of the research and

methodology.

About Finnish Education:According to the classification of Programme for International Student Assessment (PISA), Finnish Education system achieved the following rankings:

• Year 2000 first place in reading• Year 2003 first place in mathematics• Year 2006 first place in science• Year 2009 second place in science

Finnish educational system adopts advanced ideas and is student-centered. Finnish system does not adopt the culture of competition between students and teachers, but believes in collaboration, trust, responsibility and independence among them. Key features of Finland Education System are:

About JYU University and its subsidiary (ECF):

Objective of the Convention:Parties wished through their agreement to establish and operate Center of Educational Excellence (CEE) to train the Saudi teachers and educational staff. This agreement will pave the way for establishing a school offering the best amalgamation of Finnish and Saudi Educational system. Both parties will work on cooperation in the implementation of activities and programs for academic research. In addition, parties aspire to develop effective communication between school, parents and community, especially in the field of education, creativity and innovation.

Conclusion:Since Wadi Jeddah, basically deals with everything related to the transfer of knowledge, and its reach within the university community and beyond, it through this project will contribute to the development of the methodology and techniques of education through the transfer of Finnish expertise in this field and holds all tools to achieve this knowledge networking which is important in the sectors of basic education and higher education

JYU is founded in 1934 and has celebrated its seventieth anniversary in 2004, and is one of the largest multidisciplinary Finnish universities and the most famous and constantly evolving university. It is known for its activity for the creative and innovative development in the field of education and research.
