2012 AAUW Funds Report
As most of us know, AAUW has several funds, that are tax deductible, and to which we may
contribute to help sustain the mission of AAUW. Those funds are: AAUW Fund, Educational
Opportunities Fund, Legal Advocacy Fund, Eleanor Roosevelt Fund, Leadership Program Fund,
and Public Policy Fund. For the year 2012 AAUW Fort Wayne Branch contributed a total of
$2,862.00 with $1,167.00 being contributed to the Legal Advocacy Fund.

AAUW Fort Wayne Branch 2013 – 2014 Programs

The members of this committee have worked very hard to provide the completed
programming for the entire year in order that you may plan your schedules to accommodate
as many activities as possible. There is variety and, with the inclusion of those events with
which we partner with other community entities, the total mission of AAUW will be
addressed.
PROGRAMS:
Saturday August 17th : Early Branch Meeting—Studio and Cultural Gardens
Hostess for the meeting: Maureen “Mo” Palmer Gathering time: 11:00 am – 12 pm or so at: 2921 North Anthony Blvd. (Parking available across the street at the Baptist Church lot) Mo’s home is on the west side of Anthony nearer to Crescent Mo is a landscape designer and you can look at her website for more information www.culturedgardens.net. LUNCH: Loving Café, 7605 Coldwater Rd. just past Cook Rd., west side of street in a strip mall The menu for the Loving Café is below.
The August 17, 2013 Branch Meeting will be a fun and outside so dress accordingly. Come with questions. Mo will be talking about the importance of good design and planning and overall all plans for your particular landscape. We will be walking through her gardens. Depending on the weather, you may want to bring an umbrella. This meeting is open to members and their guests. “Thanks, Mo, for donating your time and talents to this event.” We are planning on lunch at the Loving Café, individuals responsible for own meal. You may meet us there but there is no obligation. When you call in your reservation, I need to know if you are going to lunch and what you want to eat. Thelma will call the café and put in our orders so when we arrive there the food will be ready. If you don’t preorder, you may still go to lunch but it may take longer to get your food if it is not preordered. R.S.V.P.
