OJASWI WINS 3RD PLACE IN VIDYARTHI VIGYAN MANTHAN

- by Ojaswi PhalDessai - 7B

Vidyarthi Vigyan Manthan is a three-tier exam. The first level is a written exam answered by all those who have enrolled for it. Based on this exam, in each state, top twenty scorers of each class (6th – 11th) are selected to go further to the state camp. At this level two from each class are selected to represent their state at the National.

I was fortunate enough to come first at state level and to represent Goa at the National Camp. This year the national camp was held in the campus of IIT Delhi on 27th and 28th of May. I was really mind-blown at the size of the campus of IIT Delhi. It was like getting through a labyrinth. Visiting IIT Delhi helped me get one-step closer to completing my bucket list. There were nearly 264 students (give or take a few) from all the States and Union Territories of India.

Based on different criteria, three students per class were chosen. I secured the third position and was felicitated by the director, IIT Delhi.

On 14th of June, the 18 of us got to meet and interact with the Hon. HRD Minister Shri Prakash Javdekar and the Science and Technology minister Dr. Harsh Vardhan. Both the ministers felicitated us. All in all this experience was the best I’ve ever had.
