This extensive, practice-orientated SARIPA Programme in Insolvency Law and Practice is aimed at persons involved in the administration of insolvent estates. The course is presented as a series of part-time lectures and deals with the effects of insolvency on the insolvent, the solvent spouse and contracts, impeachable transactions, the powers and duties of trustees and liquidators, insolvency meetings, interrogations, proof of claims, rehabilitation secured, preferent and concurrent creditors, the drafting of liquidation and distribution accounts. The curriculum, which is updated annually, has been written by experts in practice and concentrate on the practical aspects of the administration of insolvent estates.

Learning outcomes
After successfully completing this programme, you will be able to understand sequestration and winding-up procedures and appoint provisional trustees and liquidators.
Who should enrol?
This course is ideal for the insolvency industry, especially attorneys, accountants, Master’s Office personnel, banks, credit bureaus, auctioneers, trustees and liquidators.
Programme fees
R11 250.00 per delegate (VAT incl.)
Course fees include all course material and DVDs.
Lectures and mode of instruction
This one year course, starting on 27 February 2018, with one non-compulsory Saturday workshop. The course concludes with two written examinations in late November 2018. Registration will be open until 1 May 2018. No late registrations will be accepted after this date. Recorded lectures on DVD will be provided to delegates registered for distance learning. The course material will only be sent to delegates on receipt of proof of payment of the the full fees.
Admission requirements
Prospective delegates should at least have the relevant tertiary qualification or a matric certificate with relevant practical experience is a requirement for enrolment.
