Welcome to the 57th Annual Saratoga Rotary Art Show! The Art Show that Keeps on Giving
Greetings! It is with sincere gratitude and excitement that I welcome you to the 2014 Saratoga Rotary Art
Show. We Rotarians are proud of the years of tradition that this art show represents in our com-munity. Since its humble beginnings in the Village of Saratoga, the art show has grown in size and raised over two million charitable dollars. This is why I can proudly call this show “The Art Show that Keeps on Giving”. Every purchase that you make contributes to the Saratoga Rotary Charitable Foundation, which utilizes a grant process to help many deserving causes. An Art Show of this size and complexity takes the combined effort of all 125 Rotarians, their spouses, friends, and many volunteers from our community.
We are delighted to present art by two hundred artists in a variety of categories – painting, sculp-ture, jewelry, fiber art, ceramics, glass, photography and more. In the center of this brochure is a map of all art, food, and entertainment as well as pages listing the exhibiting artists with a small picture sample of their art.
We are extremely grateful for the support of our sponsors, the hard working Rotarians, and the volunteers from the surrounding area, that donate thousands of hours of their time to make the Art Show a success. Also, we thank the many artists and local businesses and well-wishers that have made monetary donations and are featured in advertisements throughout this catalog.
In addition to the exquisite Fine Art you will discover: • The Kids’ Korner featuring live acts from Rock and Sandy• A wide variety of gourmet food trucks for everyone’s palate• Wine-tasting with seven local, award-winning wineries • Exhibition of Art created by local elementary and middle school students• Sale and exhibition of Art created by the students of West Valley College• A silent auction featuring a variety of items from local businesses • On-Stage Live Music and Entertainment
As you will discover, there is more to the Art Show than meets the eye. So enjoy fine food and wine, enhance your spirit with some local musical talent and most of all treat yourself to some art. Because as the memories of the fine food and music fade, it will be the Art you purchase today that will endure forever and will certainly “keep on giving”.

About the Saratoga Rotary Art ShowThe first Saratoga Rotary Art Show, held
in Saratoga Village, showcased 20 Artists. The goals of the Show have not changed in 57 years: to present high quality contem-porary, juried art; to create a wonderful community event; and to raise funds for non-profit organizations. Over the years, the Show has grown in size and stature. People can appreciate quality art, enjoy the event and the opportunity to contribute to their community through their purchases. We are proud that the Saratoga Rotary Art Show has returned over $2.2 million to non-profit and charitable organizations through the Saratoga Rotary Charitable Foundation and its grant process.
We are proud to have Leslee Adams as this year’s poster artist!
It’s an honor to be selected as the Saratoga Rotary Poster Artist and this year’s choice is a multi-talented watercolorist who is also a professional chef by trade.
Leslee earned her Pastry Diploma at The Ritz Escoffier in Paris in 1990, returned to California and worked at The Ritz Huntington Hotel. She opened her own catering /pastry business in Palm Springs and developed a reputation for creating table displays with an artist’s eye.
Leslee began watercolor painting as a relaxing hobby and soon developed a passion for the art. Her paintings are vibrant and dance with color. She first became known for her colorful, distinctive painting of foods. She’s now branched out to paint local desert and European landscapes, still lifes, and florals all with her bold, dramatic style.
Leslee has been a member of the CVWS since 2004 and received many awards including Painter of the Year in 2008 and best of show. She exhibits widely and many clients commission custom pieces to fit their walls.
Saratoga Rotary is proud to have Leslee Adams as this year’s Poster Artist. Stop by and say hello at Booth 320.

“Disney Exec Claims Million Dollar Arm Is Studio’s Highest-Testing Film In Years”
Disney’s Million Dollar Arm screened for industry folks and exhibitors and completely stole the show. The drama, starring Jon Hamm as a disgraced sports agent, focuses on the true life tale of two Indian cricket players who came to America to become major league pitchers in baseball. Disney studio chairman Alan Horn’s claimed Million Dollar Arm was the highest-testing film he’s ever shown to early audiences at either Disney or his former employer Warner Bros.

They Keep On
DANCING Virginia’s joie de vivre is matched only by the music and the graceful rhythm of
her partner, Dick. He plays a terrific trumpet and has played for over sixty years.
They love ballroom dancing, particularly the foxtrot, and the social camaraderie at
the local dances. You’ll find a song in their hearts and a love that inspires. To meet
the people who make Los Gatos Meadows remarkable, to learn more, or for your
personal visit, please call 408.354.0292.
Living well.
