First opening its doors in 1984, the facility began the work of “Bringing people together”. the City Center hosts 150 groups and organizations each year and welcomes over 150,000 event attendees and con-vention guests annually. over the last 30 years the facility has been transformed for a multitude of events including national and international conferences, trade shows, con-ventions, weddings and civic functions, including proms, graduations and special local events. the City Center will celebrate this 30th anniversary milestone by hosting com-plimentary meetings for several local non-profit organiza-tions through-out the year. in addition, the City Center will partner with area establishments and agencies to show-case special exhibits, presentations and local works of art. the highlight of the 30th anniversary will be a weekend celebration in September with an open House of commu-nity and family events and activities. to commemorate and illustrate the 30th anniversary, Larry ambrosino of ambro-sino Design, inc., in Saratoga Springs, has created a special logo and tag line of, “Bringing people together”, to honor this important anniversary year. the logo will be used by the City Center and its business partners and participating organizations to promote the 30th anniversary Year.

Workers without children who had 2013 incomes below $14,340 ($19,680 for a married couple fil-ing jointly) may also receive a very small EITC benefit. To qualify, a child must live with you for more than half the year. a son or daughter, grandchild, younger brother or sister, or niece or nephew, may be a qualifying child. the child must be younger than 19 (or 24 if they are a full time student) or permanently and totally disabled. only one person can claim a child for EitC each year. other age, residence, and filing requirements must be met. You must file a tax return and claim the credit to get the EITC, even if you don’t otherwise have to file.
