Summary

SymptomTransactions SOLUTION_MANAGER, DSWP, and DSMOP can no longer be used. Whenyou call the transactions, the system issues a corresponding informationmessage.

Reason and PrerequisitesAs of SAP Solution Manager Release ST 710 Support Package 1, thesetransactions are obsolete.The functions that were available in these transactions are now availablein the Work Centers of SAP Solution Manager.

SolutionCall the corresponding functions in the Work Centers of SAP SolutionManager.The RKT materials for SAP Solution Manager 7.1 provide an overview anddetails on the availability of the individual functions(http://service.sap.com/rkt-solman).Here, you can access the following documents by choosing "SAP SolutionManager 7.1 -> Setup and Operations -> Configuration of SAP SolutionManager":

o "Moving from DSWP to Work Centers - Release SP01 - Overview"

o "Moving from DSWP to Work Centers - Release SP01 - Details"

For Support Package ST 710 SP 1, the following functions are not yetavailable in a Work Center. If required, you can proceed as described belowto execute these functions (the previous access path to the correspondingfunction in transaction SOLUTION_MANAGER or DSWP is listed in brackets).

o Session overview (menu: "Goto -> Sessions -> Overview")

Execute transaction DSSESS.

o Overview on SDCCN data for service sessions (menu: "Goto ->Sessions -> SDCCN Data")

Use transaction SA38 to execute the reportRDSWP_SSA_DL_CENTER.

o Overview of incorrect RFC connections to the SAP SupportPortal (menu: "Goto -> RFC Connection Error")

Proceed as follows to start the Web Dynpro applicationDSWP_WD_RFC_WATCHER from the SAP Easy Access menu:

- Choose "Favorites -> Add other objects".

- Choose the URL type "Web Dynpro Application".

- Enter the Web Dynpro application DSWP_WD_RFC_WATCHER and thedescription "RFC Connection Errors - SAP Solution Manger".Confirm the dialog box.

- Start the Web Dynpro application from the favorites list of theSAP Easy Access menu.

o Service reporting (view: "Operations -> Solution Reporting ->Services -> Service Reporting")

Use transaction SA38 to execute the report RDSWP_REP_SERVICES.

o Best Practice documents (view: "Operations Setup -> BestPractices")

Proceed as follows to call the URLhttps://websmp110.sap-ag.de/solutionmanagerbp from the SAPEasy Access menu:

- Choose "Favorites -> Add other objects".

- Choose the URL type "Web address or file".

- Enter the text "Best Practices". Enter the URL specified aboveas the Web address. Confirm the dialog box.

- Start the URL from the favorites list of the SAP Easy Accessmenu.

Note the following:You can make the Web Dynpro application and the URL that are mentionedabove available to your users in the standard system by assigning theobjects to the menu of a user role. When you do this, these objects areautomatically available to all users assigned to this role in the SAP EasyAccess menu.
