Execution

Feature Description

Data Foundation for KPI Analysis and Reporting ● Initial set of calculation views for production analytics and reporting

Machine Orchestration

Feature Description

Visualized Production Configuration ● Define operational flows of production in a visual editor● Reuse sequences of steps in different operational flows● Define technical flows (machine communication models

and message flows) based on digital twin models in a visual editor

Production Configuration Management ● Management of master data with version control● Authorization control at the project level● Transfer production configurations to integrated SAP

Plant Connectivity (PCo) systems

Resource Orchestration

Feature Description

Scheduling and Dispatching ● Enables the production supervisor to create the workload for the resources and work centers he is responsible for via drag and drop. The scheduling mode and scheduling direction are considered as well as working and non-working times.

● Displays capacity overload situations and the resource status. This helps the production supervisor to quickly identify and react to these bottleneck situations.

● The table view shows the dispatched operations for a selected work center; the user can change the sequence of the operations and resolve overload situations.

● Based on the assignments in the Schedule Labor application, the production supervisor can react on missing labor alerts.

● Search a labor with required qualification and assign them to the corresponding shift and work center, without the need to exit the Dispatching and Monitoring application.

SAP Digital Manufacturing Cloud 1805Execution P U B L I C 7

Feature Description

Monitoring ● Displays production progress. If the production is behind schedule, it is visualized at a glance.

● Displays the resource breakdown situations where the user can decide to reschedule the operations to an alternative resource or the same resource with at a different point in time.

● Informs the user via icons and notifications in case operation relationships are violated or for high priority orders.

● Order View provides the user with an overview of all operations belonging to an order.

Schedule Labor ● Allows the production supervisor or team lead to assign shifts to the labor he is responsible for. This is usually done for the complete year or several months.

● Allows the user to assign the work center to labor and shift.

● In case a certain labor is not available, the user can assign the unavailability of the labor for the corresponding day or week.

● The labor assignments are considered during dispatching in the Gantt Chart of the Dispatching and Monitoring app.

4 Insights

Feature Details

Define and Measure ● Define enterprise hierarchy that drives Key Performance Indicators (KPI) aggregation and drill down.

● Define the digital twin of the machine and manage information required to call up machine data or plan a machine orchestration in the machine/equipment model. Machine/equipment model connected to SAP Plant Connectivity (PCo) enables information exchange with the shop floor system by reading and writing tags of machines and performing services or methods of machines.

● Define different hierarchies for analysis, for example, hierarchies representing facility structure or organization structure.

● Measure standard KPIs related to production and quality.● Define custom KPIs with relevant dimensions and meas

ures by unifying data from SAP ERP, SAP S/4HANA, SAP ME and third party MES systems.

● Define KPI thresholds across and within several manufacturing plants.

Insights and Analysis ● Global view of Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) for all the products produced across several manufacturing plants.

● Intuitive analytics to understand KPI trends and patterns within and across several manufacturing plants that help to determine underlying causes affecting KPI performance.

● Visualize standard KPIs based on different filter options, aggregated based on any of the dimensions.

● Simplified views for drill down analysis of different KPIs to enable root cause analysis. KPI data can be visualized with different types of charts and tiles. KPI values of custom KPIs can be analyzed in context of the sensor data.

● Visualize KPIs in SAP Analytics Cloud using Live Data Connection of type SAP HANA.

Control and Action ● Root cause analysis algorithm to determine root causes for quality defects logged in SAP ME.

● Monitor the alerts raised due to violation of thresholds set for the KPIs.

SAP Digital Manufacturing Cloud 1805Insights P U B L I C 9

Feature Details

Data Management ● Integration with SAP ERP, SAP S/4HANA, SAP ME, SAP MII-OEE using SAP Data Integration (SDI).

● Sensor data from Plant Connectivity (PCo) can be brought based on query scenario into Manufacturing Insights using HTTP protocol.

Predictive Quality

Feature Description

Create Analytical Data Set ● Standard interface to replicate multitier manufacturing data from SAP ERP/ SAP S/4HANA and SAP ME system.

● Simplified UI enabling business user to easily navigate through multitier manufacturing data comprised of BOM, routing, and material characteristics. (IT/OT data).

● The selected IT/OT data forms Analytical Data Set.

Data Stratification and Analytics ● Historical production data is stratified into different segments based on KPI value.

● Analyze the influence of IT/OT data selected in ADS with respect each segment.

● Support Operational Analysis, Vendor Analysis and Material Characteristic Analysis.

Algorithm to Detect Defects in a Manufactured Product/Unit/Batch

● Application delivers Defect Detection objective. This objective is linked to SAP delivered predictive algorithm which can be used by user to build predictive model.

● User without the knowledge of data science can now create, train and activate predictive model.

● Active predictive model will score or evaluate production data.

Alert Configuration and Subscription ● Define alert condition for every created predictive model.● Alert subscription to notify users for every alert.

Predictive Model Monitoring ● Result of predictive scoring/evaluation for every unit produced is displayed on a dashboard for the a selected equipment/resource in a plant.

● Production operator or supervisor can initiate immediate corrective action based on result of predictive model scoring/evaluation
