Pasatiempo Golf Club in Santa Cruz, California was designed by legendary golf
architect Alister MacKenzie in 1928. Pasatiempo served as inspiration for his
design of Augusta National Golf Club in 1933. This historic, top 100 semi-private
golf club offers spectacular views of nearby Monterey Bay. One of the few
MacKenzie courses open the public, Pasatiempo golfers enjoy over 35,000 rounds
a year. Golf Digest named Pasatiempo Golf Club one of the top 3 courses
California, and Golf Magazine ranks Pasatiempo the 55th top course in the U.S.

Head Professional, Ken Woods wanted to offer a higher level of experience to their
guests. After providing bottled water, management calculated a cost of over $20,000 in
the first year. Additionally, members realized the cost and immense waste caused by the
empty water bottles. After researching all options, a Pasatiempo club member
recommended LifeSource Water Systems. Woods chose LifeSource Water for its great
service, high capacity systems, and local factory installers. Five LifeSource Systems
were installed in custom “Water Kiosks” so golfers could access clean, delicious water
throughout the course. By eliminating bottled water, Pasatiempo saved thousands of
dollars and eliminated waste. Members are now thrilled to have delicious filtered water
available throughout their game, and they are proud to be helping the environment.
“It’s just the right thing to do for the environment, and the members love the water!”Ken Woods, Head Professional, Pasatiempo Golf Club
