Medications & Supplements

There are a specific number of diagnostics, therapies and treatments included in this program. However there may be modifications to the type of therapy, number of treatments and their duration, depending on your individual health assessment as indicated by your medical team.

If additional tests, treatments or services are needed, they will be ordered only upon your approval. Some may be included in your program. Examples of services that may incur an additional fee include specialized tests and scans (MRI, PET, CT), cardiovascular tests, emergency services, additional external consultations with specialists and surgeries.

The program is sold as a package. All of our programs include room and board for the guest. If you wish to come with a companion, the cost is $100 dollars per night (occupying the same room). For the companion, this includes meals, juices, use of our salt-water therapeutic pools and group classes. Additional spa treatments, salon treatments, colonics and services may be purchased upon availability.

Program Details

Introduction to the program At Sanoviv, we believe in a balanced approach to cancer therapies. Not all conventional treatments are bad and not all alternative treatments are good. In fact, we believe it is important to incorporate the best of each approach into an integrative therapy. Many of our natural and biological therapies have their roots in Europe where they have been practiced for many decades.

Our integrative approach uses many traditional modalities such as high dose vitamin C, Amygdalin, homeopathy enzyme and ozone therapy in combination with medical procedures such as regional and whole body hyperthermia, hyperbaric oxygen and occasionally surgery (when indicated) to help our guests win the battle against cancer. Some of our guests choose to undergo chemotherapy at other facilities and come to Sanoviv for additional healing support.



Detoxification involves removal of harmful substances from our body which is continually confronted with toxins and optimizing the function of our detoxification systems. Toxins are found in the air we breath, in the food we eat, in our clothes, in furniture and even in our mouth as dental toxins. In order to optimize the immune response and reduce side effects of treatment, the body needs to be free of heavy metals and toxins. At Sanoviv, you are in a completely toxin-free environment in order to optimize healing. A detox regimen including calcium EDTA and other biological substances may be used to help the body rid itself of toxins and improving metabolic function. Spa treatments and bioenergetic detox treatments can help the body be more receptive to therapies. Dental treatment may also be needed to eliminate additional sources of toxins.

Immune modulation involves bringing the ratio of the different immune cells back into balance to enable the immune system to function correctly. Restoring healthy immune functions is especially important for those with cancer. Several immune regulating treatments are used including Immunoactive Transfer Factor, a very effective immune modulator peptide. This product is backed by 25 years of research.

Substitution involves giving the body the substances it needs to regain health. We apply orthomolecular medicine, which uses vitamins, minerals and amino acids to promote health and healing in the body. High intravenous doses of these substances show a pharmaceutical effect and can have an immediate impact on the immune system and metabolism. Since the days of Linus Pauling, orthomolecular medicine has been traditionally used in biological oncology to reduce tumor size, kill cancer cells, curb the spread of cancer and improve the quality of life.

We use different therapeutic interventions to enhance your body's ability to destroy cancer cells, while respecting the integrity of normal, healthy cells. These are done in conjunction with other therapies to synergize their potency while diminishing side effects. Regional hyperthermia is an example of an anti-cancer therapy which is a key part of our treatment.

Regional hyperthermia is used to heat up tumor material causing its metabolism to break down. Tumors do not tolerate temperatures over 41° centigrade(105.8 degrees Fahrenheit). Because of their primitive blood supply, tumors are not able to easily divert heat. The metabolism of tumor cells is different than that of healthy cells. This makes them a target for regional hyperthermia. This therapy is used in combination with other modalities such as high dose vitamin C, Amygdalin, hyperbaric oxygen and orthomolecular medicine.

Mind-Body MedicineOur psychologists help guide guests toward recognizing patterns in their lives that may have made them susceptible to cancer. There can be controversy about the right diet for cancer, whether this is an all raw or vegetarian diet, or something else. At Sanoviv we firmly believe in the biochemical individuality of each guest. Just as there is not one type of cancer, there is not just one therapeutic nutrition plan for every cancer patient. We seek to find how your body responds uniquely to food, taking into consideration your genetics, family history/ancestral background, and your interaction with your environment.

The Sanoviv diet is a whole foods program that eliminates the most common food allergens (wheat, dairy, soy, corn), as well as processed sugars, toxic fats, food additives and preservatives, caffeine and alcohol. Our organic, plant-based diet includes an abundance of both raw and lightly-cooked vegetables, green juices, sprouted legumes, nuts and nut milks, seeds and some gluten-free grains. Our diet also includes a small amount of animal protein from "wild caught" fish, and organic, humanely-raised poultry and eggs. While fruit plays an essential role in a healthy diet, it is offered sparingly at Sanoviv to decrease sugar, which makes the Sanoviv diet low-glycemic and ideal for the treatment of cancer.

Mind-Body MedicineThe Sanoviv Mind-Body Medicine program addresses the mental, emotional and spiritual components of health. We do our best to help you align these with everything that will support your healing from cancer, by means of a healthy expression of emotions to the use of healing imagery. We also use NET (Neuro Emotional Technique). EFT (Emotional Freedom Technique) and Family Constellation Therapy.

Studies have shown that when a person is in balance in these various areas, it's easier for healing to occur, as this allows the person to transition into a more relaxed state. Relaxation is related to and essential for our body's natural healing state. The more time you spend in relaxation, the more time the body is actively healing. Also, when these areas are not in balance or are in direct conflict with each other, it's more difficult for healing to occur. When this happens, we experience higher levels of stress. Stress can block healing responses in the body and make healing more difficult to occur, as your body will be focused on surviving, not thriving.

We use the most comprehensive and effective treatment protocols to help you find the right balance in your thoughts, feelings and behaviors. Our goal is to help you achieve the necessary lifestyle changes to support your healing journey. Meditation, individual counseling, educational classes, energy medicine, laughter therapy and relaxation practices and yoga are among the tools that we use to achieve this. We also have special activities for the care-givers of cancer patients to help support their needs during the program.

Our bodies are designed for motion, which activates key factors of health. When dealing with a serious and sometimes debilitating disease like cancer, exercise and movement may not be a top priority. However, there is overwhelming evidence that shows the benefits of balanced fitness activity in cancer treatment and prevention. Some studies show that exercise is a great tool for improving fatigue symptoms, general quality of life, and physical functioning in those dealing with cancer.

Research suggests that through exercise, breast cancer patients can reduce their mortality rate, whether or not the cancer was diagnosed early or after it had already spread. One study suggests that men who do strength training are between 30 to 40% less likely to lose their life to a deadly tumor. Thus, fitness training is an effective tool in cancer treatment.

One of the main beneficial effects that exercise has in cancer prevention and treatment is lowering insulin levels in the body. Impaired insulin function and blood sugar can play a major role in the onset of cancer.

Our fitness department focuses on using movement and fitness as an effective aid in your recovery. Our fitness instructors work closely with doctors, nutritionists and chiropractors to develop a specific plan for your individual needs.
