Global warming is one of the major burgeoning threats to human
family, which has almost changed the entire climate of the world, posing very serious threats not only to the eco system and also other
living organism on the world planet. The global warming would be an
indefatigable challenge for the coming generation, if its currentgrowing trend is not arrested, it would have irreparable losses not only
on the wildlife losses but also a disaster for the human population.Sangat team has organised a number of consultative meetings in
various rural villages and schools in order to aware the localcommunity on climate change factors and possible ways to cope with
it, with a view to grapple with growing chronic diseases mostly bornout of warm weather and environmental degradation.
Sangat Development Foundation (SDF) team informed the local
community that around 262 million people were affected annually fromclimate disaster between 2000 to 2004. Due to unpredictedweather/climatic changes, there are many possibilities of unexpected
drought cycles and rain with storms frequent and prolonged in theworld.
Pakistan is also experiencing the effects of climate change; the wildlifeand many other indigenous species are at risk. However, there is badly

need of time to have pro environmental friendly policy, to be executed
at the grass root level, in order to protect and promote climatesustainability.
Nawabshah has badly suffered due to an unexpected climatic changes
occurred since last couple of years in the district. These environmentaland climatic change developments have entire changed the climate of
the district, resulting into disruption of social landscape of the areas. The district temperature approximately remains above 50C from April
to August. It is also one of the coldest districts of Pakistan only inwinter season.
Due to unexpected rapid climatic changes in the district have alsodisturbed its socio-economic landscape since many years. Due to long
spell of warm and hot climate in the district, the local community
especially vulnerable social groups women and children havedeveloped chronic diseases.
The warm weather and climate changes in the district not merelyaffected the human population but also reduced agriculture
productivity at the large scale.
