    Light as a sea breeze at your neck, this summery necklace is made with ve

    dierent strands o silk cord and delicate glass beads. Dont like to knot? No

    problem, youll crimp these beads in place. Weve used size 8 silk beading

    cord here but you could also use size 4 or 6.

    Unwind your Jade silk beading cord rom the card. Stretch the cord

    between your hands, working down the length o the cord until the old

    marks begin to all away.

    Feed the needle end o your cord through a

    crimp tube and position the crimp tube 1

    inches rom the end o the cord. Using your

    chain nose pliers fatten the crimp tube.

    Feed your needle through an 8-0 bead and

    a second crimp tube. Slide the bead and

    second crimp tube down into position nextto the fattened crimp tube. Flatten second

    crimp tube.

    Feed the needle end o the your cord through a crimp tube and position

    the crimp 1 inch away rom the previous crimp and bead set. Flatten

    crimp. Feed your needle through a 6-0 bead and a second crimp

    tube and position next to the fattened crimp. Flatten second crimp.

    Repeat this, alternating beads until you have created a strand that is

    approximately 15 1/2 inches long.

    Supplies:* Jade silk beading cord, size 8* Beige silk beading cord, size 8* Turquoise silk beading cord, size 8

    * Carnelian silk beading cord, size 8* Amber silk beading cord, size 8* 8x14 antique brass lobster claw* 2 inches antique brass reallyround cable chain* 2 antique brass old over ends* 3 antique brass jump rings, 5 mm* chocolate brown Toho 6-0 beads* chalk white Toho 8-0 beads* gold plate tube crimps, size 2* 527 jewelry glue

    * Scissors* Chain nose pliers

    Tools:

    Create the remaining our strands o beaded silk in the same manner

    with the ollowing lengths: 17 inches, 18 inches, 19 inches, 20 inches, 21inches.

    5Place a very small drop o glue inside one

    o the old over ends. Place the end o each

    strand inside the old over end and press

    each side in using a pair o chain nose pliers.

    Repeat on the other end o the strands using

    the second old over end.

    Using your chain nose pliers open on link on

    the chain. Remove the link rom the chainand eed it through the loop on the lobster

    claw and through the loop on one o the

    old over ends. Close securely. Attach the

    remaining chain to the other side o the

    necklace in a similar manner to create an

    extender chain.

    7Using your chain nose pliers open a 5 mm

    jump ring and use it to attach a 6-0 bead to

    the end link in the extender chain. Repeat

    with 2 8-0 beads on each side o the 6-0.

    If you prefer to make your necklacewith one color of silk cord you will

    only need to purchase one package

    to make the necklaceand youll

    have some left over!

    Finished length: 16 inches, adjusts to 18 inches
