A message from Mick Founts, San Joaquin County Superintendent of Schools
Welcome to the 2011-12 San Joaquin County Public Schools Directory. In this publication you will find information about our 14 school districts, more than 200 schools, and the various programs and services offered throughout the County.
San Joaquin County schools serve over 136,000 of the most socially, ethnically, linguistically, and economically diverse student populations. It is my hope that this directory helps our nearly 7,000 teachers, 500 administrators, and 8,000 other staff members become knowledgeable of the resources available to meet our high academic, social, and emotional standards.
Since this provides valuable information about our schools, we encourage you to use the online version of the directory, found at www.sjcoe.org/directory. The online directory will allow you to download and print information throughout the year.
I encourage you to utilize this instrument as a means to make certain that our community and schools work together to continue to provide our students, the future leaders of our community, with the tools needed to be successful in life.
Thank you for supporting San Joaquin County schools. Working together, we can ensure a better education and brighter future for all of San Joaquin County’s students.
Sincerely,
Mick Founts, Ed.D.Superintendent of Schools
