Season Ticket Holder Military Appreciation Day

As the Team of the Military, we are pleased to announce the second annual Season Ticket Holder Military Appreciation Day. As a reminder, we ask Season Ticket Holders to donate their season seats to members of the military for one game and have selected Thursday, June 2.

The game coincides with the annual Legacy Week for the USS Midway Museum leading up to the celebration of the ship’s namesake - the Battle of Midway. The battle, which took place June 4-7, 1942 and turned the tide of WWII in the Pacific, serves as an appropriate compliment to our Season Ticket Holder Military Appreciation Day.

Fans may drop off their season tickets at any ticket window, in the ticket office lobby or with a Season Ticket Account Specialist before May 16, to allow time for redistribution of the tickets. This is, of course voluntary.

We have also worked with our concessions partner, Sportservice, to provide affordable food and beverage options. We are building on the popularity of the $5 kid’s meals and $4 hot dogs, as well as the $7 hat and $8 t-shirt. For the third consecutive year, we have substantially cut prices on domestic draft beer. We continue to offer a 14 oz domestic draft for $5. Our most popular beer, the 20 ounce domestic draft, will now be $6.75 in 2011–down from $7.25 in 2010 and $8.50 as recently as 2008. We will also be offering a new, 24 oz domestic draft for the low price of $7.75. The Padres are also expanding the presence of premium draft beers (including local favorite Stone Brewery and imported Stella Artois) in the lower seating bowl. Along the vein of introducing more local favorites, we are bringing Filippi’s Pizza Grotto to five areas of the ballpark. Filippi’s will sell their famous pizza (cheese, pepperoni and veggie) at five locations inside PETCO Park (sections 113, 115, 311, 320 and Mercado/Home Plate) beginning on Opening Day.

SEASON TICKET ACCOUNT SPECIALIST SPOTLIGHT

Jeff Services: Upper Box Infield, Upper Infield Reserved

Born: A hometown boy, born and raised in San Diego

Years in the Majors: 2

Favorite Padres moment: The Padres were my life in the NL Championship season of 1998. Every part of that magical season captivated me. From Steve Finley’s walk off grand slam early in the season, to clinching the West in a dramatic comeback game against the Dodgers, and then taking down the Astros and Braves to reach the World Series! I was able to attend game 4 of the World Series, and it was one of the happiest (and saddest) moments of my life!

Favorite all-time Padre: Tony Gwynn was, and always will be, my idol

Favorite thing to eat at PETCO Park: Sonoran Hot Dog from the Western Metals Building

If you were a Padre, what position would you play and what would your theme song be: I would play second base and be a pesky contact hitter like Orlando Hudson, and come up to bat to “El Scorcho” by Weezer.

How did you become a member of the Padres Front Office: It had always been a dream of mine to work in the Padres Front Office. So when one of my friends from college already working in the front office let me know they were hiring a Ticket Services Representative, I jumped at the opportunity and luckily was hired.
