TUBULAR SOLUTIONS

CORROSION AND HEAT RESISTANT TUBE & PIPESamuel Associated Tube Group (Samuel ATG) manufactures welded and welded

cold drawn tube and pipe in over fifty (50) grades of stainless steel. Our products

are suited for use in corrosive environments where high pressure and high

temperatures challenge material integrity.

Product is available in T.I.G., plasma, laser-welded, or cold drawn configurations,

bright annealed, or annealed and pickled. Product is available in sizes 3/16˝ (4.7

mm) to 6 5/8˝ (168.1 mm) and also in many D.I.N. and J.I.S. sizes.

Samuel ATG offers quality control testing that includes eddy current, laser

measurement, pneumatic and hydro-static as well as a full array of destructive and

corrosion testing.

COLD DRAWN TUBECold-drawn tubes provide reliability for automotive, fluid power, power generation, oil

& gas recovery, electronic products, food & beverage, and recreational applications.

Samuel ATG has the capability to manufacture cold-drawn tube to precise tolerances

and high quality surface finishes in light and heavy wall configurations. Of note,

Samuel ATG can produce cold-drawn round tube or shapes and profiles.

Options such as bright annealing, special tempers, polishing, cutting, end-

finishing, and cleaning are available. Product can be produced by reduction over

a plug, mandrel or through a die, with I.D. surface finishes of 30 rms or better and

tolerances of +/- .0015˝ (0.38 mm).

Our stainless steel tubes can be cold-drawn over other materials such as carbon

steel, for strength, cost reduction or other engineering considerations.

SMALL DIAMETER TUBEAccredited to ISO/ TS 16949:2009 and PED 97/23/EC Ann1, Sec. 4.3, Samuel

ATG has over sixty years of experience in the manufacture of small diameter sizes,

3/16˝ (4.7 mm) to 3/4˝ (19 mm) O.D. in many stainless steel alloys. Small diameter

products are supplied to automotive, industrial and residential heating, HVAC,

power generation, oil & gas recovery, medical, and food & beverage markets.

Samuel ATG provides a bright annealed, O.D. conditioned product, that is

continuously laser micrometer and eddy-current tested in-line. The product has a

precise O.D. and consistent mechanical properties making it highly desirable for

fabrication, or applications where no O.D. leakpaths can be tolerated.

Samuel Associated Tube Group is a premier North American supplier of welded cold-drawn stainless steel, high nickel alloy and carbon tubular products with solutions for industries worldwide.

Whether you are looking for standard or specialized tubular solutions, Samuel Associated Tube Group offers one-stop, turn-key design support, custom tooling and manufacturing. Leveraging the metallurgical and new product development expertise of our teams and with on-site metallurgical laboratories, we help customers realize significant cost savings and deliver innovative solutions faster.

Shapes and profiles represent unique challenges in dimensional tolerances,

mechanical properties, tooling, testing, and manufacturing processes. With our

extensive expertise in non-round shapes and profiles, we leverage our cold drawing

capabilities to ensure optimal turnaround of prototypes for our customers, expediting

time to market and minimizing tooling costs.

In addition, we can provide a full range of value-added options such as cutting,

end-finishing, bright annealing, weld cold-working, in-line non-destructive testing,

inspection, and cleaning. Custom cutting and packaging are also available to suit

customer requirements.

CARBON STEEL TUBINGOur Alabama operation converts steel coil into high quality mechanical or structural

tubing. We manufacture small-diameter, electric-resistance-welded carbon steel

tubing to precise ASTM A513 A500 standards in a variety of shapes and profiles.

We offer precision cutting and fabrication of components and welded sub-

assemblies. Our team offers both robotic MIG welding and manual welding as

desired to meet each customer’s product complexity and volume requirements.

Samuel ATG’s capabilities in this area greatly simplify our customers’ supply chains

and reduce associated costs.

If what you require is not a standard item, we will collaborate with you to design and

develop products to your specifications.
