Device SetupLinc PTT• Linc PTT applications do not come preinstalled. The applications will need to be downloaded from the Google

Play Store.• Linc PTT onboarding is the same as the Sonim XP8.• If users experience an error message when signing into Cockpit “A network error occurred”.

Follow steps to update the Android System Webview application:• Exit Cockpit• Go to the Google Play Store and search for “Android System Webview• Select Update• Once the app has updated attempt to Sign back into Cockpit

Things to Know• WiFi Calling is not enabled on the device• There is no VoLTE icon to indicate VoLTE service is active• Home instead of Southern Linc is displayed in the ribbon at the top of the phone• There are two browsers on the device -- the Samsung Internet Browser and Google Chrome• Pinch the Home Screen to enable/access additional screens• Preinstalled apps like Facebook, Spotify can not be removed but can be disabled• There is no PTT customization on this device:

• Voice Interactions – Linc PTT calls have the same priority as a phone call• WiFi Steering – The PTT app will prefer to work on LTE if both LTE and WiFi networks are available.

• It is not recommended to use PTT credentials assigned to another phone (for example, an XP8 or XP5)

Things to KnowMobile Hotspot• There is no error message when the user enables the feature• When connecting to a Windows PC the metered connection setting may prevent access to certain applications until

accepted. To turn off metered connection on a Windows PC:• Select Start Windows logo Start button • Select Settings Gear-shaped Settings icon • Select Network & Internet• Select Wi-Fi Expanding curves Wi-Fi icon • Manage known networks• Select the Wi-Fi network > Properties > turn off Set as metered connection

• Southern Company Affiliates and Southern Linc employees must request Hotspot through Cool Compliance.

TroubleshootingKnown Issues:• Conference Call does not work – Unable to conference call when users attempts to merge in second call.
