Wow! What an epic intro into the book of John. Have you ever longed for something more—something greater than yourself? A dramatic and exciting story for your life?

All of humanity has longed for this—it’s why storytelling is such an intricate part of every culture. It’s why the box office is a multi-million dollar industry. We long for more! For a good story! For the immense power and order of the universe to make sense. For Good to triumph and Evil be diminished—which is why, for the first study at MomStrong International, we’re going straight to the book of John.

John tells of a light, the Word. The Word who is with God and is God, through whom all things were made. A light that shines in the darkness and cannot be overcome. John tells a story of God made flesh; a God Who came into our world as a human and His home among us because of love. God, in the form of Jesus— was rejected by His own people and yet still brings LIFE to all who believe.

Perhaps if we saw a movie with this theme, we would walk out longing for

it to be true—but as we are about to discover, this story, this Light, is true. In fact, it is the Truth.

The Bible teaches us that there IS something more, that we have been carefully, purposefully woven into the greatest story of all time. John’s passion

for Jesus is unmatched in all of Scripture and it’s clearly seen as he explains that Jesus is

that Light that came into our dark world.

Jesus is the hope and change the world is seeking. We are about to uncover who Jesus is and why this isn’t just a story, it’s the Truth that will save mankind.
