Can you think about a moment where God is not existing in your life? I would

be completely lost. As a Christian our foundation stands on believing in Jesus

Christ as your Savior. Once the disciples asked Jesus Christ who is the greatest

in the Kingdom of Heaven. To which, Jesus Christ calls a little child to Him and

placed him among them and said: “Truly I tell you, unless you change and

become like little children, you will never enter the kingdom of heaven

(Matthew 18: 1-2)

Having a persistence like a child, a zeal for wanting to know Jesus intimately,

a genuine earning and love for Him with all your heart, soul and mind will make

you feel His love. We can never compare to God’s love or reciprocate to what

He feels for us. But it’s important that we believe in Him. Your faith in Jesus will

make your prayers come true according to His will for your good.

Word from our Youth Ministry

Phil. 4:13 “I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me.”

Many of us can share a time when this verse was an encouragement, or when we used it to admonish

others. I can remember being a cricketer where I always say this verse before getting onto the field "You

can do it, Debo! The Bible says you can".

Later I came into the realization of the word "All things". Christ strength is my power, my high tower that

shields me and comforts my soul. By His strength I was able to win matches, do well in exams. By His

strength I could overcome problems, suffering, and all manner of temptations. Sometimes I do forget and

rely on my own self or family and friends. But the only time I have found peace is when I stepped back and

down on my knees believing in His promise.

Pastor’s PenLove

A powerful feeling that everyone wants and is seeking for.

A love for the world or a love for someone. But worldly love

is for a moment, its never long lasting. It also brings hurt

and sometimes an obsession for something or someone.

Still as humans we cherish that feeling and seek in others.

While I was contemplating what I need to pen for this

month’s newsletter, I pondered over many of our church

members who feel deprived of love. It’s sad to hear what

my beloved brothers and sisters in Christ endure and

having a feeling of void in their hearts.

Did Jesus feel the same void when His children rejected

Him? When they requested to Pontius Pilate to do away

and crucify Him. When His disciples ran away during His

last moments of His life on earth. When on the cross He

was nailed and everyone around mocked at Him. His love

was trampled by the same people whom He loved.

How can one explain this kind of love, knowing very well

that who you are loving is not worthy of that love and

does not want it? Jesus said in John 18:36 “…My kingdom is

not of this world: if my kingdom were of this world, then

would my servants fight, that I should not be delivered to

the Jews: but now is my kingdom not from hence.” Jesus

showed us how to love others.

From the Old Testament I think of Daniel as a really mighty

man of integrity and virtue. He purposed in his heart that

he will not defile himself. Though being bestowed a very

high position and can seek any pleasures of the world. He

kept himself above all things for the glory of God. That

was his love and fear for God.

Church my request to you all is to first seek the love of

God, cherish yourself in it. With that love you will be able

to exhibit selfless love to others because Christ instructed

us to love one another (John 15: 17). Keep God as your

priority and all other earthly relationships will be filled with

joy and happiness.
