SALES IS A NUMBER GAME
� When we say sale is a number Game.
What does it mean?
� It means the more the numbers; more
the sales.
� Now what do we mean by numbers?
� Numbers have different meaning at
different positions:
SALES EXECUTIVE
For Sales Executive numbers means
number of Prospects. The more
prospects they meet, the more the
chances of sale.
If A and B have the same product
knowledge, abilities, experience, and
territory; A meets five new people each day
and B meets one. Who is likely to sell more?
Naturally the one who meets more people!
This is such a basic concept and is the secret
of success in sales.
If it is that simple, why don’t the
salespeople just go and meet more number
of prospects?
Common excuses:
• We don’t have enough references
• People do not give time, they are busy
The most tested and successful formula to
meet maximum number of people is DOOR
KNOCKING / COLD CALLING
The managers have difficulty to sell this idea
of cold calling to sales executives.
They become annoyed, irritated
and uncomfortable, feel shameful,
and with red face hated the manager.
Door Knocking could be FUN; but for new
salesperson it has become difficult, because
they are:
• Reluctant to knock the door
• Hesitate to meet new people
• Shy of what people would say
• Afraid of people would annoyed
• Feel it look disgraceful
Here is the job of the manager and the
company to make DOOR KNOCKING fun
and exciting by arranging activities for these
sales people.

• Sales Rallies
• Community Awareness Program
(CAP)
• Standard Company Appointment Plan
(SCAP)
SALES MANGER
For Sales Manager numbers means number
of Sales Executives. The more sales
executives they have, the more the chances
of presentation, the more the sale.
No doubt, t raining and development is as
important as recruitment. But if you do not
have number of sales executives; whom will
you train and develop?
The job of a Sales Manager is to hire sales
people constantly. Promote Sales Executives
to Team Leaders and to Assistant Managers.
These promotions are important to sales
people for encouragement and handling the
bigger team.
So, the job of the Sales Manager is to have
number of Assistant Managers. They should
have number of Team Leaders and they
should have numbers of Sales Executives.
REGIONAL MANGER
For Regional Manager numbers means
number of Sales Managers. The more Sales
Mangers they have, the bigger sales team,
the more sales.
The job of the Regional Manager is to
motivate the Sales Managers to achieve their
goals of recruitment, training and
development.
NATIONAL MANGER /
SALES HEAD
For National Manager / Sales Head numbers
means number of Regional Managers in
every city of the country.
Their job is to motivate the Regional
Managers to achieve their goals of
recruitment, training and development and
monitor the activities designed for the sales
people.
Most importantly, Sales Executives are your
soldiers. You should make sure that your
sales executive earn good amount of money.
If your sales executive makes good money,
everyone will. The activities mentioned
above are great help for salespeople to earn
good money.
So, numbers are the greatest formula for any
sales organization. Do not worry about sales!
