Salena doesn’t like to limit herself to just one con-cept or medium in her art, she enjoys the freedom to be able to create whatever suits her. Whether it’s an in depth deconstruction of the human condition, a

study of fashion, or something more sequential, she is always up for trying something new. That is why

she often dabbles in mixed media, however, she does possess an affinity for watercolor and ink, the ease in which watercolors can be put down on a page al-

lows for a more freeing process. And the preciseness of ink ensures she doesn’t lose her image within the colors. At the same time, sometimes just those two

things aren’t enough to finish a piece.

Salena creates images that draw the viewer in and prompts their curiosity, images that allow the viewer

to create their own stories and come to their own conclusions.
