Shinjuku Gyoen is one of Tokyo's largest and most popular parks which located just a short walk froｍour hotel. From late March to early April, more than 400 somei yoshino trees blossom around the English garden turning the lawns into one of Tokyo's most popular and pleasant hanami spots.

It’s like the tunnel of the cherry blossom in Chidorigafuchi and boats are available which you can get very nice view of cherry blossom from the river. Around the Yasukuni shrine grounds stand hundreds of cherry trees including Tokyo's representative cherry tree that is used by the meteorological agency to pronounce the official opening of the blossoms in the city.

Huge cherry trees and the rest of the beautiful Japanese garden will be lit up in the evening, creating a magical atmosphere for sakura flower viewing.

The view of cherry blossoms on both sides from a yakatabune houseboat or waterbus are very beautiful. Enjoy the contrast between the blossoms along the riverbank and the towering skytree.
