FATHER’S DAY NOVENA Father’s Day will soon be here and our Dominican Fathers will once again offer families and friends the opportunity to enroll Dads in their ”FATHER’S DAY NOVENA OF MASSES”. Enrollments (living and deceased) will be available in the Parish Office during the week and after the weekend Masses (ending with the noon Mass on June 17th). Suggested offering: $10 (for 9 consecutive days of Masses). A “Father’s Day” greeting card is free for every living intention.

HOMEBOUND MINISTRY Weekly Communion is taken to parishioners who can’t come to Mass after hospital discharge or prolonged illness, age, disability, etc. This group also does visitation, makes prayer shawls, sends cards, provides comfort crosses, and can put you on the parish prayer list if so desired. The Senior Ministry is holding its DAY OF RECOLLECTION on Thursday, June 14, starting with the Rosary at 9:30am, followed by a speaker and then a luncheon. Our speaker is Katie Caverly from iKor, Life Management Company for seniors and individuals with disabilities. There is no charge for the luncheon. Please call Melanie in the office (434-293-8081, ext. 310) no later than June 11th to hold your place at the luncheon. It will be held upstairs in classrooms 2 and 4.

VOLUNTEER OPPORTUNITY The St. Thomas Aquinas Mercy & Justice Committee is seeking a volunteer to deliver food donations collected at and by St. Thomas to the Holy Comforter food pantry once a week. IMPACT'S INVESTMENT DRIVE IMPACT is an organization that is owned by its members and the majority of its funding comes from congregational membership and individual investors. IMPACT individual investment drive will continue through July 9th. Our St. Thomas goal is $3000. HAITIAN STATION • www.saltadere.org St. Michel School was a crumbling, rural elementary school in 2007 when a new school building with 13 rooms was constructed through the generosity of our parishes. That school has grown to include preschool, elementary and secondary education, preparing the best students to enter University. Thank you for helping provide quality education to Saltadère. May God bless St. Michel School and its teachers. Help Needed: Haiti ministry welcomes help with ongoing fundraising. We are planning upcoming events. In addition, we seek help with coffee sales and laptop computers. Singing Rooster Coffee: Sale of this fair-trade coffee takes place near coffee & donuts on the lower level.
