OUR MISSION STATEMENT

We, the faith community of St. Pius V located in South Jamaica, Queens, New York for 109 years, rooted in the Gospel of Jesus Christ, and called

to spread that Gospel, value the faith, customs, traditions and diversity of our Parish and we share them in communion with the Roman Catholic Church. We

are committed to live, proclaim and spread the Gospel message through example, service and worship, under the intercession of the Blessed Virgin Mary. We will

continue to celebrate the Eucharist every Sunday in English, Spanish and Portuguese. As we look forward to the next 100 years, we seek spiritual growth

and unity as a community who encourages and respects each other’s differences, but comes together in one faith.

La reunión de la Ultreya de los Cursillistas se lleva a cabo todos los miércoles en la Capilla de San Pedro a las 7:00 PM La despensa de alimentos está distribuyendo alimentos todos los 1º Miércoles del mes 12-1PM. El Grupo de Oración Carismático “ Cristo la Roca” se reúne todos los jueves en el sótano de la iglesia a las 7:00PM. El Grupo matrimonio “La Casa de Nazaret” se reúne todos los viernes a las 7:00 pm en el sótano de la iglesia. El Comité Altagraciano quiere invitar a todas las personas para llevarse la capillita de Nuestra Señora la Virgen de la Altagracia a casa, los que estén interesadas por favor hable con un miembro del Comité para registrarse después de la misa. Centro de Diccion y Audición de la Universidad de St. John oferece grátis uno teste de dicción y audición, desde el dia 11 de Setiembre haste el dia 7 de Deciembre 2017.Por favor llame el centro al 718 990-6480 para programar una cita. The St. John’s University Speech & Hearing Center will be offering FREE speech & hearing screenings from Sept

11, 2017 through December 7, 2017. Please call the center at 718 990-6480 to schedule an appointment. The speech &

hearing Center is located at: 152-11 Union Turnpike, Flushing, N.Y

We are selling Christmas wreaths for $50.00. Each wreath has the option of an intention.

The Annual Raffle has begun with tickets being sold in the rectory. Ticket donations begin at $10.00 with the 1st prize being

$1500.00, 2nd prize being $1000.00, and the 3rd $500.00. Tickets drawings will be held on February 11th, 2018.

Decoration for Advent will take place on Wednesday, the 29th of November at 7pm.

The Novena starts December 3rd at 7pm with the Mass and Procession being on December 12th at 7:00PM.

The Immaculate Conception Mass will take place on December 8th at 7:30pm.

Beginning in January, there will be a new Sunday Mass schedule as follows: 9AM- Portuguese Mass, 10AM- English,

11AM- Spanish Mass, following the directions of the Bishop.

Confession will take place December 18th from 4pm-6pm and 7pm-9pm. Any other dates for Confession must be made

by appointment by calling the rectory.
