DECLARATION OF NULLITY
Many people have had the misfortune of a divorce. If you, or a potential spouse, have been divorced there is HELP for you to move on to a happy Catholic marriage.
Many think that the declaration of Nullity is ONLY for a Catholic but in truth anyone who was divorced and wants to marry a Catholic must also seek the declaration of nullity before the marriage can take place.

CHAPLET OF DIVINE MERCY
In and through Christ, God is visible in his mercy. He speaks of it and explains it in parables, but above all he himself makes it incarnate and personifies it. HE HIMSELF IS MERCY.
To the one who sees it in him, God becomes “visible” in a clear way as “the Father who is rich in mercy.” (Pope John Paul ll in Misericordia)
In this Jubilee Year of Mercy let us live every day in the glorious message of past seasons that Jesus, Emmanuel, is with us still – forever – as merciful Savior and Advocate.
Even when we move away in our thoughts, words and deeds, he is here for us, for he never moves!! Have mercy on us, Jesus.
THE KNIGHTS OF COLUMBUS INVITE YOU!
Come one, Come all! Please accept our invitation to our
Fifth Sunday Rosary!
Sister Monique Dissen, IHM will lead us in the Rosary at 9:30 a.m., on Sunday 29 May, in the Chapel.
The time is between Masses, so scheduling should be conducive to everyone attending! It would be wonderful to
have attendance require us to move to the Sanctuary!"
God Bless us all, please spread the WORD!
DIOCESAN CHOIR

RITE OF CHRISTIAN INITIATION PROGRAM
Do you attend mass but are NOT Catholic?
Are you married to a non-Catholic who has voiced an interest in our faith? Were you baptized Catholic but never received any other sacraments?
If you have answered yes to any of these questions please call us to enroll in our next RCIA program that will begin in the fall. We meet every Sunday morning from 9:15 to 10:30 in the FLC.
Our goal is to help you become educated in the faith and to prepare you to receive the sacraments.
Sessions are informal and interactive, our goal is to educate and answer the questions presented by those in attendance.
Please call the church office at 252-638-1984 to register or Marcelene McLure at 252-497-0619 for detailed information.
ACT OF SPIRITUAL COMMUNION
Oh Jesus, I turn toward the holy tabernacle where You live hidden for love of me.
I love you, O my God. I cannot now receive You in Holy Communion. Come, nevertheless, and visit me with Your grace. Come spiritually into my heart. Purify it. Sanctify it.
Render it like unto Your own. Amen. Lord, I am not worthy that You should enter under my roof,
but only say the word and my soul shall be healed.
CORPUS CHRISTI PROCESSION
Please join us for mass at Old Saint Paul, on Friday May 27th at 8:00 am,
followed by a procession to Union Point in honor of Corpus Christi.
We will end our procession with a prayer and then light refreshments.
The annual procession on the feast of Corpus Christi
is desirable, when it can truly be a sign of common faith and adoration.

JOURNEY OF FAITH
We are on a long and eventful journey. Today's readings for Trinity Sunday succinctly cover the depth and breadth of our human travels. The very beginnings of our journey are revealed in the reading from Proverbs. God's plan filled with divine wisdom was born before the earth was made. In today's Gospel, Jesus speaks of his own personal journey. He has come from the Father and will return to the Father. Only then will the Advocate--the Spirit of Truth--take us onward. This does not diminish the fact that the journey will be hard. The very setting of the Gospel is the night before Jesus died. As Saint Paul writes to the Romans, "[W]e even boast of our afflictions, knowing that affliction produces endurance, and endurance, proven character, and proven character, hope" (Romans 5:3-4).
Ultimately, our human journey is modeled by the Holy Trinity--a family of love among Father, Son, and Spirit that we are all called to emulate.
