Congratulations to our second group of First Communicants that will be celebrating their First Communion this weekend. Things have been very busy trying to get some of our technology projects completed. This last week we were able to get the fiber optic connections active between the parish center, the church, and the rectory at St Olaf. We switched over to TDS’s fiber connection for internet and for telephone. Please note that the new phone system went active on Wednesday. Some staff have new extension numbers. You can find them in the bulletin. The livestream camera system went live also this week at St Olaf. There is only one camera--two cameras really increase the complexity of the system. The camera is not mounted directly in line with the altar, which means it will show the picture at a bit of an angle. This is so that we can show the back of church as well for the start of Mass and for other events. There are two remaining items to finish on this whole list of projects. We are slated to move the security systems over on Monday to the new network. The other remaining item is the audio systems upgrades at both churches. Unfortunately, because of shutdowns due to the COVID-19 pandemic, some components were not able to be manufactured on time to be installed before I leave. They should be installed in both churches either the week of the 13th or 20th of July.

One more weekend to go. I have to get to work on packing.

St. Joseph Fall Festival Tickets Now Available Raffle tickets for the festival are available for pick up in the back of church. The success of the Fall Festival is critical to the annual budget of the parish and the raffle is a big part of the festival. We encourage all parishioners to sell as many tickets as possible. If you are in need of additional

tickets, your name was missed, or you have questions, please contact anyone on the festival committee. Dan Weisensel may be reached at 608-886-3066 or Rita Lambert at 920-296-7407. Whether we will have a pickup meal only this year is still undecided. It would be the same menu as in the past but no dine-in eating. Many parishioners would be needed to help make this happen. Wedding Anniversary Recognition

Due to COVID-19, the annual Diocesan Anniversary Mass and Reception cannot be held.

We still want to honor couples celebrating 25, 40, 50 or more years of marriage in 2020.

St. Olaf Parish Office will be closed on Friday, July 3rd in observance of the July 4th holiday. Fun Fact: Americans consume about 150 million hot dogs while celebrating Independence Day. According to the National Hot Dog and Sausage Council, that amount of dogs can stretch from Washington D.C. to Los Angeles more than five times!

St. Joseph Farewell/Birthday Gathering for Fr. Vince We will be bidding farewell to Fr. Vince on Tuesday evening, June 30 at 7:30 pm. It’s not only a farewell, but a birthday party as well (it’s his birthday too!) Cake and beverages will be served.

After Mass on Sunday, July 5, there will be a very short program to present a monetary going away gift. If you are interested in contributing to the gift, please put cash in the offertory (clearly marked) or checks can be made out to St. Joseph’s clearly marked for Father’s gift by Sunday, June 28.
