  • Stewardship: A Way of Life

    Epiphany of the Lord

“...they fell down and worshipped him. Then they opened their treasures and

offered him gifts of gold, frankincense, and myrrh…”

    Matthew 2:11

Notice the order of events in the Magi’s visit. First, they knelt before Jesus and prayed to Him. Then they presented Him with their gifts. We, too, must take time to pray before we present our gifts to the Lord. We never know what God may be asking us to share!

WORD OF LIFE: “Through the Incarnation and birth of Christ, God reveals to us the dignity of all human life. Human life, as a gift of God, is sacred and inviolable. The Son of God has united himself with every human being and desires for us to share eternal life with him… Each of us is made in the image and likeness of God, and we reflect his glory in the world.”

  • MASS INTENTIONS AT ST. JOSEPH: A wonderful way to remember a deceased family member or friend is to offer a Mass for that person. As determined by the Diocese there is a $10 stipend fee for the intention. It is given to the presiding priest. Several weekday Masses are currently available. If you wish to request a Mass intention for a loved one, please contact the office at 608-884-3038. SANCTUARY CANDLE AT ST. JOSEPH: Consider honoring a loved one by having the Sanctuary candle burn in their name. A new seven-day candle is lit every Sunday. A donation of $10 will cover the cost of the candle. ST. JOSEPH 2020 CHRISTMAS PROGRAM: The highly anticipated Christmas Program “2020 News: Reporting Live From Bethlehem!” is now available!

A note from director Becky Backhaus: “All I can say is WOW - you all really went above and beyond. I have had so much fun listening and watching all the videos - this was a lot of fun for me!”

A link to the program has been added to St. Joseph’s website and Facebook page. The kids and parents put a lot of effort in this year – we hope you enjoy it!

Dear Fellowship of St. Mary: I was so delighted to see such generous blessings from your church and congregants to help give the children of the Rock County incarcerated gifts! I personally know the hope it brings the inmates when I see them smile over the opportunity to do something for their families during their season of separation. And oh the smiles from the children! Thank you for your giving into Christ’s Kingdom! Blessings to you all!

Merry Christmas and a very Happy New Year

    to you and Yours!
