their service and ministry to St. John’s for the past 13 years.
Steve, Kim and Caleb….We love you and will miss you!
May God Richly Bless You in Your life’s journey!
Rooted in the doctrines of the Protestant Reformation. We believe we are saved by grace through faith in
Jesus, that the Bible is the rule for Christian life and faith, and that the Good News of Jesus should be proclaimed
in word and deed. Sacrament Celebrating. We believe God ministers to the community of believers in unique and special ways
though Baptism and Holy Communion. Liturgically Oriented. We believe remembering the whole life of Christ is important for spiritual maturity. We
follow the church calendar, celebrating seasons like Advent and Lent. Ecumenically Minded. In the context of our heritage, we believe all those who call upon Jesus as Lord will share
in his eternal blessings and so we welcome all believers who join us to participate fully in worship.

2017 CONFIRMATION CLASS
Confirmation is time honored and important practice of St. John’s Church. Confirmation is a special season where
the sixth graders spend time with the pastoral staff and other adult mentors, learning more intensely about the faith
we profess. If you are unfamiliar with Confirmation, it is a time of serious instruction in the Bible and Christian
doctrine in preparation for membership in the church.
If your child is entering the sixth grade this school year, an important date for you to mark on your calendar is
Sunday August 14th , the first day of Confirmation Class. At the conclusion of the 10:30 service, (at 11:30am)
there will be a parent meeting in the confirmation room. Confirmation classes meet each Sunday morning during
the Sunday School time and again on Wednesday evening during regular class time. All sixth graders are highly
encouraged to attend.
This season be a follower of Christ first
