Saint Ignatius of LoyolaHe was born into a wealthy, noble Spanish family.After being injured as a soldier, he became more
religious.Ignatius read about Christ while recovering, and
began to change his life.Ignatius made a pilgrimage to Jerusalem to spend
time in a retreat.He became a priest in 1537, and in 1540 founded the
society of Jesus, or the Jesuits.
