Saint Faustina - Diary 584
When you reflect upon what I tell you in the depths of your heart, you profit more than if you had read many books. Oh, if souls would only want to listen to My voice when I am speaking in the depths of their hearts, they would reach the peak of holiness in a short time.
We are pleased to announce that we have cloth face masks for sale at a cost of $5.00 each. Masks were made by parishioners of St. Gregory Church. Available for men/women/children. Cloth masks should be washed after each wear with water & soap. All proceeds will support St. Gregory’s church. Available during office hours.

Nutrition for Learning is in desperate need of volunteers to assist with pre-packaging the nutrition lunch bags for school deliveries starting the week of September 8 in which upwards of 60,000 bags are required for the first weeks of school. N4L has secured The Schwaben Club in Kitchener and Cambridge, a warehouse on Industrial Road.
Each volunteer will be required to check in and out, wear a mask/shield, temp is checked, as well as answering COVID screen questions.
N4L is also putting out a call to borrow 20-30, 6” or 8” tables. We will pick up the tables and clean and sanitize before returning. Please e-mail Tania Moser: [email protected] if you can help us with tables!

St. Gregory the Great (540—604)
Feast day Thursday, September 3rd
Patron of our parish, St. Gregory the Great was a mayor, a monk, a pope and a writer. Unhappy with his life as mayor of Rome, St. Gregory allocated half his fortune to the poor and the other half to the founda-tion of seven monasteries. After joining a monastery in pursuit of a simple life, he was elected to the papacy. As pope, he cared for the poor, implemented the Gregorian reforms to improve Church governance and clerical behavior, promoted the monastic vocation, and renewed the liturgy. His name is associated with Gregorian chant (plainsong) and Eucharistic Prayer II (along with St. Hippolytus). A prolific writer and Doctor of the Church, St. Gregory composed numerous theological texts and is cited 374 times in St. Thomas Aquinas’ Summa Theologiae.
