You are of another faith and wish to convert to Catholicism. You were baptized in another Christian denomination and wish to become a member of the Catholic faith. You were baptized in the Catholic Church and never received the sacraments of First Holy Communion and Confirmation.

If you or someone you know would like more information or would like to join us and learn more, please call the rectory at 215-725-1240. Classes will be starting in Oc-tober.

The RCIA Team is looking for additional members to join our team. If you are interested, please con-tact the rectory. We meet every Tuesday at 7:00pm at St. Cecilia.

Twenty-Fifth Sunday in Ordinary Time September 22, 2019

FOCUS: Jesus instructs us to serve only one master.

Many things compete for our attention on a daily ba-sis. Some of the things we do, we do in light of our faith and in the service of God; other things may draw us away from both. Jesus exhorts us to pay attention to our actions and our motives, for we cannot serve both God and the things of this world. LITURGY OF THE WORD: From the prophet Amos comes a warning to the people of the Northern Kingdom of Israel that God sees those who take ad-vantage of or mistreat the poor and needy, and he will not forget a thing they have done. In Paul’s Letter to Timothy, he asks for prayers for those in authority—that they be pleasing to the Lord. In Luke’s Gospel, Jesus tells the parable of the dishonest steward, and says that a person must be trustworthy in matters big and small. For no one can serve both God and mam-mon. REFLECTION: Being a follower of Jesus is not a part time job, or a side occupation – it is a full time commitment and covers all aspects of our lives, not just what we commonly call our "spiritual lives." Upon hearing the challenge of today’s gospel, to be faithful in all parts of our lives, we ask:

What is my fundamental and total identity: is it being a Christian?

Then how can I put that into practice at all times and in all places?

2020 Mass Book Request sheets for announced Masses will be avail-able in the church and rectory beginning next week-end. Completed forms should be returned begin-ning Tuesday, October 15th at 8:30am. No forms will be accepted before this date.
