REFLECTION
“There are different kinds of spiritual gifts but the same Spirit;
there are different forms of service but the same Lord; there are
different workings but the same God who produces all of them in
everyone.” – 1 CORINTHIANS 12:4-6
All of us are blessed, regardless of our own individual circumstances; God has given each of
us many gifts. How we use those gifts is our gift back to God. For God’s plan to work, each
must do what we are called to do and guess what – we are not all called to do the same
thing!
LEAVE A LEGACY: You make a significant gift to our parish that costs you nothing
during your lifetime. Consider including our parish in your will.

PARISH NEWS
DSA 2018 DIOCESAN SUPPORT APPEAL (DSA)
We are now 3 months into the Diocesan Support Appeal campaign,
and as of today 71 of our parishioners have contributed. We need
each of you to help us reach our goal of $23,458.00. Thank you.
THE INTERNATIONAL – NATIONAL COLLECTION: The second collection this weekend
combines 5 collections into one. This International – National Combined Collection contributes
toward the Catholic Relief Services Collection, the Collection for the Holy Land, the Collection
for the Works of the Holy Father, the Catholic Communications Campaign, and the Catholic
University of America. Please be generous to these programs.
AED TRAINING session will be held in the parish hall on Saturday, June 9th from 10am until
noon. If you would like to receive AED training or renew your certificate, please call the parish
office 336-272-0303 for more details.
NEW PROJECT 2018: St. Benedict Parish is working on “the Church
History” Book now. Any parishioners or friends or visitors obtain any
historical data or pictures, please let us know at 336-272-0303.
Thank you for your love and support.
ATTENTION ALL GRADUATES from College, University and High School. Please call or
email the church office THIS WEEK, so we may add your name to our list of 2018 Graduates.
EUCHARISTIC MINISTERS AND LECTORS NEEDED: There is a need for Eucharistic
Ministers and Lectors at all Masses. What better way to fulfill the apostolic
dream than to read God’s word and/or distribute His most precious Body and
Blood our fellow Parishioners. If you are interested in being part of these two
spiritually gratifying Ministries or have any additional questions please call
Fr. Duc at 336-272-0303.
ALTAR SERVERS NEEDED All Masses need Altar Servers. It is always
rewarding to see a child’s love for his or her Faith grow stronger as they accept
the responsibility of a ministry such as this. As adults, we also feel a rewarding
experience knowing that we had a part in this growth. Pease contact Fr. Duc or
Amy Nutt at 336-272-0303 to answer any questions you may have regarding
this ministry. Thank you for your time, looking forward to hearing from you.
THE PARISH OFFICE will be closed on Monday, May 28th.
, in observance of Memorial Day.

Can I sense the movement of the Holy Spirit in my life
right now? Does it feel more like a gentle breath or a
strong driving wind?
