SAIL Story Writing Competition – 2021
SAIL Steel – Building Nation, Transforming Lives
सेल स्टील - देश का करता निर्ााण, जीवि बिाता खुशहाल SAIL is taking several innovative steps to create awareness about
enhancing steel usage and promoting steel products across the Country. This story writing competition is an initiative by the Company to create
awareness amongst people on steel uses and impacts of steel on nation
building Nation and society’s lives. The competition’s theme ‘SAIL Steel –
Building Nation, Transforming Lives | सेल स्टील - देश का करता निर्ााण, जीवि
बिाता खुशहाल’ can be written both in Hindi and English language.
The writing is preferred in story telling form. The writer has the creative liberty to adopt any format of storytelling.
Guidelines for Writing Competition
1. The topic of the theme :
SAIL Steel – Building Nation, Transforming Lives
सेल स्टील - देश का करता निर्ााण, जीवि बिाता खुशहाल
2. The competition is open to any citizen of India including employees of SAIL and their families.
3. Language – Hindi & English
4. The word limit of the Story writing competition is 800 words. For entries above 800 words, 10% marks shall be deducted.
5. Stories will be evaluated by a jury of judges
6. Prizes will be given to entries in each category i.e. Hindi & English.
7. The winning entries shall also be published in SAIL News

8. Participants must adhere to the following formatting standards:
a. Font type: Times New Roman for English and Unicode for Hindi b. Font Size: 12 c. Spacing between lines: Double d. Pages to be numbered e. Quotation to be given in italics f. Final number of words must be written in the end
9. Criteria for evaluating stories

10. Name, designation, mobile number, email id and full address of the author to be given on a separate sheet as per attached format given at Annexure - A.
11. Only one entry is allowed per participant
12. Soft copy of the story has to be forwarded to email id – [email protected] latest by 11 PM, 3rd May, 2021, as an attachment with the mail. A passport size photograph of the writer must be attached separately in the same mail.
13. Two hard copies of the story (in conformation with the above formatting standards) should reach the following address latest by 5 pm, 7th May, 2021 :
