1. GENERAL POSTION INFORMATION

Qualification Graduate
Experience 2-3 years of relevant experience in Micro Finance Sector operations or other
financial institutions
CTC Upto 2.5 lac p.a.
2. MAIN OBJECTIVE
Position the branch as a leading MFI, maintaining a constantly growing healthy portfolio with the
objective of achieving goals as established and increasing branch profitability
3. ACTIVITIES & TASKS
Promotions and client acquisition:
- Implement and monitor marketing and promotional programmes
- Supervise promotional activities of ABMs of the branch
- Take steps to acquire new clients and minimize drop-outs.
Evaluate effectiveness of marketing and promotional programmes and provide feedback.
_ Evaluations and approval
- Appraise loan applications under all products. Participate in group formation, group meetings during
CRTs and as per the policy
- Verify appraisals by the branch staff.
- Approve loans for groups or individuals
- Participate in Credit Committees, whenever applicable.
Loan disbursement
- Ensure timely disbursement of loans to clients
- Plan and budget disbursement requirements, co-ordinate with BOE for fund management.
- Monitor the quality of customer service provided in the branch and take corrective measures
if necessary.
Collections and monitoring:
- Ensure all collections are made as per the policy. All collection related policies and procedures related to
the customer service, timings, meetings, amounts and deposits are adhered to.
- Ensure that all monitoring formalities are maintained.
- Visit current and potential clients to check on the quality of service and conduct by FEs/ABMs.
- Manage overdues and portfolio quality.
- Conduct on the spot checks on weekly meetings and collections.

- Take steps to achieve the branch target as agreed upon with the management.

- Achieve target ensuring the portfolio quality is maintained, the reputation of organization is protected
and policies and procedures are adhered to.
- Take proactive steps to optimize the branch performance, bring to notice and discuss with the
management on ways to enhance performance.
Periodically
Review the branch’s performance and prepare reports
Review the market potential and dynamics and prepare reports
Evaluate performance of branch staff.
Occasional
Motivate professional development of branch staff by participating in and coordinating training sessions
that benefit efficiency and effectiveness in every-day work functions as well as in the individual career
path of each member.
Participate in training sessions.
Prepare reports as required by the Commercial/Regional Manager and above.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Plan and monitor annual budget in consultation with the BOE
Plan monthly branch activities
Establish zones among FEs
Monitor every-day functions of FEs, establishing goals and verifying how they are met, as guided by the
branch’s commercial plan.
- Make random and surprise reviews of the complete cycle of loan: group formations, evaluation,
disbursements, collections and repeat loans, with the purpose of timely monitoring of quality and
adherence to policy.
See that standards are met: product guidelines, methodology policy and manuals are followed, govt.
regulations are obeyed.
Provide orientation and guidance to staff through timely evaluations, problem-solving, decision making
and communication of any necessary information to staff and informing
Commercial/Regional/Area Manager regarding potential problems or difficulties that may have a
significant influence on successful every-day branch development.
Monitor the proper use of resources, equipment and office material for efficiency.
Schedule visits to clients, keeping in mind potential markets as well as the traditional market served by
the branch, growth, tendencies and characteristics of the area.
Evaluate branch portfolio, analyzing and proposing solutions for possible causes of delinquency, client
desertion or group break-ups.
Follow-up on partially met goals compared with full potential as planned. Review goals met by the
branch as stipulated.
Respond to internal audit reports and monitor implementation of recommendations as agreed
Participate in and report to the HR regarding scheduling and control of annual vacation time,
absences/tardiness, leave, dismissals, and compliance of staff with disciplinary sanctions duty fulfillment
as required for normal every-day successful working of branch.
Communicate with staff regarding changes or modifications in objectives, policies, strategies,
regulations, norms, functions, systems, procedures, methods and other guidelines
