Ma_sahara_fashion1 is a Magento theme with advanced admin module, extremely customizable and fully responsive. It is suitable for every type of store. It is a standalone design package (not a sub-theme of Magento “default” theme) so you can easily create your own sub-themes.

I. Install ma_sahara_fashion1 template

There are two ways to install a Magento Theme:

• Install quickstart: By using this package, you will set the theme exactly as our Demo with sample data.

• Install only template: If you exist a magento website you can install only template.

1. Install quickstart Please following steps below: 1. Create new database and import database sample ( ma_sahara.sql or

ma_sahara.sql.gz) in database folder. • Open your Browse and type : localhost/phpmyadmin or

yourdomain/phpmyadmin

• Then create database

• Click database you have created

2. Extract and Upload the whole Quickstart package (app, js, skin … in

ma_sahara_fashion1_quickstart folder ) to your server. ma_sahara_fashion1_quickstart.zip is in ma_sahara_package_1.0

Extract ma_sahara_fashion1_quickstart, we got:

Copy all of folder above to your Magento .

3. Open browser and navigate to your site (where the quickstart uploaded) to load default Magento installer with the database you just created and import database sample.

As an example, name of magento is ma_sahara.

Click button “Continue”.

4. Step by step to follow the instructions.

Click “Continue”. We got:

• With database name : ma_sahara – database name you have just created • User name : root

• User password : No need to fill in. Click “Continue” button.

• Personal information : First Name, Las Name, Email

• Login Information: Username, Password, Confirm Password - Click “Continue” button

5. Finish installer. 6. You can “Go to frontend” to go to Home page.

� Clear all cache ( System > Cache management > Disabled all cache )

8. Reindex data � Go to System > Index Management. To rebuild your indexes,

select all, select Reindex Data and click Submit button.

2. Install template 1. Please unzip package ma_sahara_fashion1_template_1.0.zip and

upload the folders ( app, skin, js, media ...) from the theme package to the root directory ( www, public_html) of your magento software using an FTP client.

Unzip ma_sahara_fashion1_ template_1.0.zip, we got:

Copy all app, js, media, skin above to your Magento.

2. Please go to Magento Admin > Magentothem > Install template

3. If your magento has many store views :

Choose All Store View -> then click submit button

4. Clear all cache ( System > Cache management > Disabled all cache )

II. Theme features and elements In this chapter you can find description and configuration details of

selected elements of this theme, such as home page, built-in static blocks, CSS classes etc.

1. Home page

1.1. Structure <image is next page>

After the theme is installed, you can import sample versions of the

home page. To manage pages in Magento, go to CMS > Pages section. By default in Magento a page with URL Key home is displayed as the store’s home page. One of a few sample home pages which you can import, has the following URL key: sahara_fashion1-home-page. So to display that page as a home page in your store, you need to change its URL key to simple home. Note:

If the page with that URL key already exists(which is true in most of Magento installations) you will need to delete existing page or change its url key. Alternatively you can indicate which CMS page you want to use as your home page. To do that, go to System > Configuration > General > Web > Default Pages tab and select the desired page in the CMS Home Page field.

1.2. Menu

1.2.1. Home page layout For every CMS page in Magento you can select page layout - the

number of columns: one, two, or three columns. To change the layout of the home page, go to CMS > Pages, select the page, select one of the options in the Layout field and click Save Page button

1.2.2. Home page content To edit the content of the home page, go to CMS > Pages and open

the active home page. Content can be found in the main field of the Content tab:

Important Always turn off WYSIWYG editor when you want to edit HTML or

Magento's CMS tags in the page/block content. Otherwise WYSIWYG editor will break the content. Refer to 4.8.1 WYSIWYG editor for more details.

1.2. How to use • By selecting a category, entering the search query, and pressing the

search button (or enter), the search result page is shown for the search query where the results are filtered by the selected category. On this page and on category pages, the active category (filter or current category) is also selected in the drop-down list.

2. Custommenu extension

2.1. Configuration • Log in to the admin panel, and we will show you how to configure the

extension step by step. • To enable the extension, go to System -> Configuration -> Custom

Menu -> General on your Dashboard.

Also in General tab you can configure next three fields.

2.2. Add CMS Block to popup of a specify category. � In order to display a custom block with images or other html content

in the popup, use the Static Block (CMS->Static Blocks section) with the ID like "pt_menu_idcat_10", where "10" is the Category ID of this category.

� Default the custom block will be show at the bottom of the popup. But if you want to show it on the right of the popup, just use the ID like “pt_menu_idcat_10_right”.

2.3. Add CMS Block to menu item. � Just use the static block with the ID has prefix is "pt_item_menu". � Ex: pt_item_menu_first, pt_item_menu_second…

2.4. How to know category IDs in magento : • Login your magento admin • Navigate to Catalog > Manage Categories

2.5. Add links to menu item. � In order to add links to menu item we use only static block with the

ID is “pt_menu_links”. � The content of this static block like this:

4.1. Configuration • Login your Magento Admin area

• Navigate to Magentothem > Banner7 > Configuration and configure default criteria as per screenshort below:

• Enabled: Include yes/no module paramenters • Animation type:The effect to be used for transition between two

slides.

• Pause Time: Time (in milliseconds) between slide transitions. • Animation Speed: The speed of animations, in milliseconds

• Qty of items: Number item display

• Show Caption: Defines whether caption of images is displayed or not

• Show Next/Back control: Defines whether next/back button is displayed or not

• Show navigation control: Defines whether the navigation control is displayed or not

4.2. Add item in slideshow(banner7) • Navigate to Magento > Banner7 > Manage Items

• Click “Add item” button, you will see as screenshot below:

� Title: Title of the item

Upload images of item : Click “Browse” button, you can choose image from your computer

• When finished, click “Save Item” button to save your item.

• Log out Magento Admin, then Reindex data • You can repeat steps above to add other items for banner

5. Title “Categories” (Vertical Menu extension)

5.1. Configuration

• Please make sure VerticalMenu module get installed properly

• Login your Magento Admin area

20.2. How to set upsell products • Go to Catalog > Manage Products • Select any product • Select tab Up-sells. Then select “Any” like image below:
